aww today i listened to the radio .. they were having some valentines day-special where you could call, send your loved one

wishes and get a song played for you.

So this one one woman called and wanted to have 21 guns played for her husband.

the radio moderator said that wasn't a classical lovesong and asked why she wanted exactly that one.

The woman said because she and her hubby were planning a trip to the US to watch the musical ..

I just thought this story was so cute

HAPPY VALENTINES DAAAAY, EVERYONE

:wub:..i actually hate valentine's day. :ninja::shifty:

Actually, my dad found this one. He downloaded a music player for his cell, and there was a picture of the 21CB album cover on the download page. :)

Oh, and another thing about family. My grandmother constantly asks everyone she knows if they've heard about green day. And then she tells me who has and who hasn't

cute

I went to a musicstop today (where you can buy instruments) and the guy at the counter was taking about green day with his friends and he was buying a green day guitar tabs :P

And last night they were talking about catcher in the rye in the show criminal minds last night

In another forum they've got a game thread where you make up conversations you'd like to hear the rest of

Someone said 'So I found the cat in the dryer...'

My Uncle is in the construction business, and his place of business is near my house. There's this giant hill of construction scrap and dirt near my home, so my cousin and I named it 'Tightwad Hill' :) I guess we sorta made our own reference :P

I was reading a book and someone in it said 'almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.' hah.

It was a guys 17th birthday in my class, and my teacher was sarcastically/funny saying "great...another 17 year old whose strung out"

All of valentines day, I was just thinking 'cigarettes and valentines!'.

today I saw a documentary about Novocaine.

Last Saturday, I was having lunch at some restaurant and a woman's phone suddenly rang and her phone's ringtone was Minority.

(I did a happy dance in my seat. lol.)

Just right now I was flipping channels, and as I passed one channel, there was some commercial for a game, and it said

(something)

Know Your Enemy

it was nice, as it was such an obvious (though unintended, probably) reference.

I was at this club yesterday and apparently a band called F.O.D. was supposed to play there next month, but they canceled the show.

I wonder what F.O.D actually stood for..

fuck off and die

Well thanks for being so kind.

No but seriously, I know it means fuck off and die, as in the Green Day song, but in that post I meant it like "Well, what could it possibly be.. other than what we know."

In a magazine, there was an advertisement for an arena and they mentioned Green Day in a list of performers that had played there and a picture of Billie Joe from the back :)

Was on the bus today listening to the radio. And I heard the announcer lady saying

"And today Billie Joe Armstrong celebrated his 39th birthday. Today marks the 29th anniversary of te day he met his best friend and bandmember Mike Dirnt in their school cafeteria. So for Billie's birthday, we're playing a few Green Day songs".

Then they played Good Riddance and WICA. Made me so happy, they've never said happy birthday to a musician before on that station, not that I know of anyway.

In my English class today my teacher was having us take some notes about Shakespeare, and when he asked us a question about him, none of us knew the answer. He made a comment and then he said, "Why are you guys so Jaded on this?" I had to restrain from saying "Green Day!"--and singing the song too--as soon as he said that. It just made me a little bit happier that I could find a Green Day reference about my school day. Plus the coincidence that made me laugh was because it was Billie Joe's Birthday today too.

This thread makes me so happy.

I could have the worst day, fail all my tests at school, get dumped by my girlfriend, an egg thrown at me, a science experiment explosion,

But by seeing a small Green Day reference, my day is the best. It doesnt matter what happened before.

GREEN DAY REFERENCES FTW!
