Maddy. Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 you mean 113 -21 guns7-boulevard1-Good riddanceLOL, I don't keep track of those kinda things. xD
Laura! Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I have a feeling they are going to get nominated for at least one thing and I bet they will perform too.We could have a new single by then too!
Savior of Rebellion Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I think Green Day can beat U2, U2's been around for awhile...but Green Day came back after keeping everyone waiting, shouldn't that put them in favor? Anyways whatever they get nominated in, I'm sure they'll win
Michael128 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Because her album came out last year. She had songs nominated last year. They weren't, their album wasn't out. They just performed "Get On Your Boots."The deadline for submission was August 31st, 2009, so it wouldn't make sense for only the 2009 albums to be eligible. Taylor Swift's album was released last year too. And she was only nominated for a live performance last year for an old song.
newsflash777 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 you mean 113 -21 guns7-boulevard1-Good riddanceI thought they had 8 for BOBD?
Zalex Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Where will they be announced? Oh boy I hope they'll be up for one so I have motive to actually vote for the Grammys this year
newsflash777 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Where will they be announced? Oh boy I hope they'll be up for one so I have motive to actually vote for the Grammys this year You can't vote for Grammys :/
Laura! Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Where will they be announced? Oh boy I hope they'll be up for one so I have motive to actually vote for the Grammys this year It'll be announced Decemeber 2nd. There's going to be a thing on TV for it with people performing and stuff.
Alan86 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 They will me nominated, remember when they presented at the awards last time billie said "see you all next year at the grammys"
newsflash777 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Waaaaaait, on GDA if you go to the link people are predicting Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. I thought they weren't eligible?
Michael128 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Waaaaaait, on GDA if you go to the link people are predicting Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. I thought they weren't eligible?Taylor Swift's album was released in November of 2008. The Grammy year isnt Jan 1st-Dec 31st.
valentinesandcigs Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Will Muse be nominated for anything?no there album missed the deadline
The Daughter of Rage and Love Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Unfortunately, the winner is the one with most sales/ the most successful on the Billboard charts (I think).
HoneyDo666 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 ^Last year it was Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.Gaga is only ineligible for Best New Artist. T Swifty is a favorite to get a AOTY nomination (I almost wrote aorta there, don't ask me why).
Mar Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 I'm with you. MJ album is out but as far as I know it's made with old songs, there is only one new song in it. How can you nominate a greatest hits or something?, those songs were been published a long time ago Oh shit, I forgot about that new song from This Is It. Waaaaaait, on GDA if you go to the link people are predicting Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. I thought they weren't eligible?Taylor IS eligible, her album came out after the deadline for this year's show, but she is eligible for 2010. The only thing Gaga isn't eligible for is Best New Artist.Unfortunately, the winner is the one with most sales/ the most successful on the Billboard charts (I think).Nope, that's the Billboard Music Awards. Theoretically, the Grammys are about quality, not quantity (except when they give a respected artist awards for a crap album because they were shunned in the past or an artist dies). Please note, theoretically...
Kaddi. Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 I can't believe that it's time for the Grammys again... it feels like two weeks ago when Green Day where there and told us that the new album would be called 21st Century Breakdown. Gosh, I was so excited back then. But I remember how Billie said "See you next year at the Grammys"... seems like he was right.
Maddy. Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 On which channel does this air? Because I'd like to see them accepting that award.
Allie90 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 On which channel does this air? Because I'd like to see them accepting that award. MTV is to show it for sure!
Maddy. Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 I thought the Grammy's had nothing to do with MTV...
