Soroush Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Can we stop thinking that Restless Heart Syndrome, Viva La Gloria (Little Girl) or Peacemaker will be choices for the next single. It wont be. They've only them live very, very seldom(if at all) since the albums release (Actually, it might have been before the actual release-date that they were last played) They've never released a single that they don't play live. There's a reason they don't play em.There's two songs it will likely be out of, Static Age or Before the Lobotomy. And then a very slim chance of: Last Night on Earth or American EulogyI comelpetly agree.it's so obvious that BTL is the next single and maybe LNOE is the last one
Sanity Loan Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 **********************************An email I received from the programming director, Michael Cross, at my local rock station Rock 108:Matt - At this point, I'm pretty sure that Reprise is done working anything else off the album. Since the album has been out since last May, I doubt they will try and push another single. The Disappearing Boy Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 thats a shame, and a tad unusual. we've only 3/4 singles from this album. didn't american idiot have 5?
Sanity Loan Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 thats a shame, and a tad unusual. we've only 3/4 singles from this album. didn't american idiot have 5?Yeah.... thats because it was largely successful.... and 21CB isn't
The Disappearing Boy Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 yeah i guessed that was the case.if this turns out to be true, im gonna be pretty annoyed with green day/warner. there are so many better singles they coud have chosen.
Clayish Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I HIGHLY doubt that there will only be the three singles.Thats just silly.
Sanity Loan Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I HIGHLY doubt that there will only be the three singles.Thats just silly. There are actually 4
HoneyDo666 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 There are actually 43 per country. 4 if you count every country.
Sanity Loan Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 3 per country. 4 if you count every country.I was counting every country. KYE, 21 Guns, EJN, 21CB... thats four singles. And four singles seems to be the norm for Green Day albumsDookie: 5 (Lonview, Welcome to Paradise, Basket Case, She, When I Come Around)Insomniac: 4 (Geek Stink Breath, Stuck With Me, Brain Stew/Jaded, Walking Contradiction)Nimrod: 4 (Hitchin' a Ride, Good Riddance, Redundant, Nice Guys Finish Last)Warning: 4 (Minority, Warning, Waiting, Macy's Day Parade)American Idiot: 5 (American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Holiday, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Jesus of Suburbia)21st Century Breakdown: 4 (Know Your Enemy, 21 Guns, East Jesus Nowhere, 21st Century Breakdown)

Sanity Loan Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 21st Century Breakdown is not a single in the U.SDoesn't matter... its still a single
Salmonator. Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I would love it to be Peacemaker I'd love to see a music video for that!
Sanity Loan Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Hmmm...... BTL or The Static Age I hope one of those (or both) is true
shoegazeloser Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Horseshoes and Handgrenades, because we have to inject the "Foxboro Hot Tubs-sounding vibe" to the mainstream audience, so that the Tubbies will make another album.
The Disappearing Boy Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 so:1) only 4 singles (should probably be one more)2)Terrible single choice. I don't think ill get many arguments there3)All released too close together. All within 6-7 months, which is a very short time-frame, considering that this tour will probably go on for another year at least.

Clayish Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 With another tour most likely coming, they will release more singles.Probably 2 more in my opinion, and this was just one radio DJ that probably didn't know what he was talking about..

NickD Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Don't email local radio stations. They know nothing until information is actually sent to them. And if it's sent to them, that means the average fan most likely has that same information. Many didn't even know this cd was being put out within weeks before it's released. Even KROQ doesn't know if/when singles are coming out, and that's one of the biggest radio stations in the nation. If you want answers, email that bands information address or Reprise. Those are your only best chances. The band usually put out singles around the legs of their tours. By the next US tour, we'll probably get the next one.

Wet socks traumatize me Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Maybe they'll release more singles now that they're more mainstream? I don't know...But it's true that the choices of singles were not the greatest... like the order. I would have realeased 21stCB first. To get things straight. kinda.Know your enemy is just... not THAT original and great.
