We don't necessarily have to play it, but sometimes they really want us to so we do. In some instances, we don't play what they want us to. I think that's the case with "21st Century Breakdown." Since we never played "21 Guns," our Program Director who runs the station decided to play "21st..." because it fit better with the format of the station. Personally, I'm not a big fan of "21 Guns," either. I think you'll find that if you listen to us long enough, we'll play songs that you won't hear anywhere else just to be different. We believe listeners like when we break away from the norm. Granted, the album came out well over a year ago, but we'll still throw in "Know Your Enemy" because it was a big hit.

EJN would do well definitely on the modern rock stations and whatnot, but I can see Static Age on the more adult-oriented rock stations too. Either would be a great choice I think.

I'm happy that I have the 21st Century Breakdown album without everyone saying "Ohh my goddd did you hear the new Green Day song?". Singles just aren't a big deal to me, plus they've hardly been promoted at all. I don't think I've heard Last Of The American Girls once on the radio...

LNOE kinda reminds me on Good Riddance or Wake me up When Septmeber Ends, so I think it could've been a really nice one.. I think.. East Jesus Nowhere... Yes... good! And.. Horseshoes and Handgrenades would also have been a great one.. I think, whatever GD wanna make.. I'll love it anyway
XBlade1X Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 American Eulogy is the last single this album needs to make the explosion for the mark it deserved. Easily one of the best songs on the album and I think the style feels like it's American Idiot and Homecoming's baby. The video would kick ass too. It would probably do better than the other singles did, unfortunately with the exception of 21 Guns, but it would be fuckin' awesome if American Eulogy did better than 21 Guns. Think of how great this would be as a goodbye until next time. It would be kind of like a "Fuck you, This albums' not going down without a fight!" to everyone who didn't like the other singles.

I was thinking this because I heard rumours that it was a single, I've seen the cover for the single but I've not been able to buy it anywhere, like not even on eBay so I don't know... Edit: Oh... Still doesn't make sense as to why I can't buy it D:
