Sunshine2385 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 The new version just isn't working for me sorry guys. I can't stand the song being sung by anyone other than bj.
Mar Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 We're all so impatient for this I just sent this link to like, a million of my friends. I hope they like it.
boosho Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I like this discussion about who is singing what Which part do you mean exactly? In the beginning its Rebecca Naomi Jones and the only guy who is singing is Billie Joe. Oh really i thought it sounded like a girl but everything i have read before it was released talked about John Gallagher and stuff.. to be honest i dont really know any of the performers in the musical i was just curious thats all.. I know this will probably sound very ignorant of me but other than billie's voice all he other voices sounded very similar so if there was more than one person singing solos on there i couldnt tell..
Juliette Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I love the key changes. Normally so many key changes in a song would annoy me or sound cheesey but I think it works really well.
The Disappearing Boy Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I don't like her voice on that bit :/ yeah, its a bit weird.
**She** Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 "Green Day, which also includes bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool, had cameras rolling in the studio while they recorded the track and plan to release an accompanying video. More details on that will follow shortly." From greenday.com That will surely be an awesome video. I love to see them (especially Billie) recording in a studio. Edit: Wow, this thread just made me loose my beloved "little one" status Now I'm a Brat. I have to start spamming until I get to the next one. *just kidding*
Alan86 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I can imagine the AI cast standing together singing, with Billie at the front facing them being the music conductor
Sarahnade. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Just got to listen to it, and I'm floored. It's beyond beautiful. The actors have such amazing voices, and I love how powerful they all sound together. And having Billie sing too is such a nice touch. I'm excited to see the video footage.

Princess Consuela Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I'd rather have no video than a shitty one. So it better be good not like to the original song
emmaILGD! Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Rebecca Naomi Jones has one of the best voices EVER. She does, it was kind of weird hearing a girl sing it though, but weird in a good way
sydneygirl Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Oh my goodness me! I just listened to this for the first time and I LOVE IT!! Wow! What brilliant vocals and the arrangement of the song is great. It brought a tear to my eyes. To me, that shows what a good song 21 Guns is. It can be sung like Billie does and then it can be arranged and sung differently by a musical cast and each version sounds brilliant. I will definitely be buying this when it is available
Metanoia Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Rebecca Naomi Jones has one of the best voices EVER. I totally agree !!!!!! just amazing !!
Dirnt_y Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 fucking amazing. not even biased. this is a BEAUTIFUL piece of work!!! im so fucking impressed with it <3<3<3
SlappyDJ1 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 i ripped and Im uploading. pm me if you want it.
Sarahnade. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I totally agree !!!!!! just amazing !! Yes! I think she's perfect for Whatsername. And I love the transition between her and Billie, and when they sing together, it's wonderful. Billie produced this, right? Because he did a nice job.
Hermione Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 It's interesting to hear it in a different style but to be honest it doesn't do much for me. Just not a style of music that appeals to me. Hearing it does make me happy though because I'm so pleased for the band that the musical's happened, and it must be wonderful for them to hear their song on a grand scale like this. I've only heard the clip so far though so maybe the full version will grow on me.
