Rosie May Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I love the build up in the Choir for me that was the perfect climax for the arrangement, I didn't even notice the guitar solo was missing that's how entranced I was with it, but I do love musicals Yeah that's the thing, I like musicals so I'm annoyed that I don't like this.
Nova-Caine Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think the first male voice you her IS Billie Joe...it sounds exactly like him Yup i just listened again and you're right it definitely sounds like him all the way through,
Princess Consuela Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I also love how although the original song is Billie-mumble free, musical cast still is much clearer. Maybe it's just me
Fuzz Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think the first male voice you her IS Billie Joe...it sounds exactly like him Yeah, he starts the second verse.
Eirik Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 So then they would have been releasing something we'd already heard, if you can see what I am trying to say here, the whole point of this is that its from the musical and is someone else's interpretation of it. Yeah, I understand.
Deniz. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 is it a rumor with the "letterbomb-ending" or are my ears filled with shit?
RobyRoom Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 is it a rumor with the "letterbomb-ending" or are my ears filled with shit? It does exist but only elected people can hear it
GTI Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 is it a rumor with the "letterbomb-ending" or are my ears filled with shit? What do you mean? It does end with it.
Harriet Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Just listened to it about 5 times in a row:AMAZING! I would kill to see the musical now. Bring it to England. Please.
**She** Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 is it a rumor with the "letterbomb-ending" or are my ears filled with shit? You can only here it if you are from the US, or all the americans are lying to us  I also love how although the original song is Billie-mumble free, musical cast still is much clearer. Maybe it's just me In this line ("Your faith walks on broken glass") it sounds as if he leaves out the second half of the word "faith" but I think thats his special adorable way of singing. I noticed in it some other songs too. I can't stop listen to it over and over again while reading this thread. (instead of working on my assignment...) Edit: Wow, this thread is growing so fast. I can't believe how many people posted while I was typing this...)
Mrs. Nobody Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Just listened to it about 5 times in a row:AMAZING! I would kill to see the musical now. Bring it to England. Please. I agree with this
Allie90 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I can't stop listen to it over and over again while reading this thread. (instead of working on my assignment...) Same with me )))))))))))
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I feel like the only person in the world that doesn't like it :/ It's too overblown, the lyrics have been robbed of any subtlety with the musical style over enunciating and I miss the guitars. I'm sorry, but I don't get why everyone's going mental over it.
music_that_is Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Can anyone please please upload it to somewhere? *makes angel face*
**She** Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Just listened to it about 5 times in a row:AMAZING! I would kill to see the musical now. Bring it to England. Please. Green Day should do a world-musical-tour with the cast and show it in every country!
Rosie May Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I feel bad that I don't really like it and everybody else seems too. I'm sure it's better in the context of the musical...
Radioactive1 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Just listened to it about 5 times in a row:AMAZING! I would kill to see the musical now. Bring it to England. Please. I agree. It's going to be a good few years before it happens though and only if it does well on Broadway. Come on Americaaaa!
Deniz. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 It do exist but only elected people can hear it so, it's as always, right? :/ What do you mean? It does end with it. some said, they heard "nobody likes you" in the end.. You can only here it if you are from the US, or all the americans are lying to us  yeah..:/
music_that_is Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I only think that the Nobody Likes You ending is a bit weird// I would kill to see the musical now. Bring it to England. Please. Yes me too! .
Deniz. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Can anyone please please upload it to somewhere? *makes angel face* this.. i want it in .mp3 or so..just to listen..i will buy it, i swear to god.
GDM Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I feel like the only person in the world that doesn't like it :/ It's too overblown, the lyrics have been robbed of any subtlety with the musical style over enunciating and I miss the guitars. I'm sorry, but I don't get why everyone's going mental over it. That's understandable. You're not the only one, I happen to love it, but I was able to see the musical and I appreciate some forms of musicals. I think the choir arrangements are great, and it works well in the production. It's ok not to like something. After the video to 21 Guns came out, I couldn't listen to the song anymore... and didn't really pay attention to it during GD shows. But hearing this version... I've fallen back in love again.
rinu Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 You can only here it if you are from the US, or all the americans are lying to us  I just listened it again and I'm sure I heard it this time.
novacaine_kid Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Its good, in fact its better than good. But I'd like to have heard more vocals from Billie towards the end of the song. But this is great
dolce Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 It's so beautiful. I love it! Is it just me, or is this version of Billie singing better than the original? He sounds great, and I love how some of the notes have been changed - it changes the whole sound of the song!
