Eirik Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I really miss the guitar solo, without it the bridge just builds up to nothing. Yeah, I agree with this.
J'net Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 interesting...i find the depth of having the chorus and orchestration so additive to the song. of course i adore the billie joe original song but the way this is arranged makes it an entirely new and different song to me. i am so blown away and i now cannot even comprehend what the uniqueness of AI show experience is like. I do think anyone who saw the musical has an advantage when listening to this version. None of it sounded strange to me. It's not the identical arrangement from the musical, but it's very similar. I loved it from the first moment. I think Billie did a great job of producing it, too.
depe Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Nothing special .. Album version is 21 Times better..
Princess Consuela Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think Billie is singing in the chorus, its a very familiar sounding voice coming through in there You're right! I listened to it once again very carefully and I you definitely can hear his voice I think I'm getting addicted to it. I can only imagine how wonderful the musical is. My mom just said 'She's better than Billie'
Mrs. Nobody Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Lol didn't notice the missing solo, it's too breathtaking
Laura! Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Is it really Billie singing??? I think that it's not him. Probably somebody from the cast, I'm unsure though.... I think it is Billie. It definitely sounded like him. I love how they changed up the beginning of it. Billie did an awesome job producing this!
Nova-Caine Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Is it really Billie singing??? I think that it's not him. Probably somebody from the cast, I'm unsure though.... The first male voice you hear is definitely a cast member, billie comes in just after and into the chorus, he's mixed in with everyone else
Abstractication Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Does ur one have spinnermusic.com at the address bar or .co.uk? cos my one redirects to the uk site, I think that's why i cant hear it :/Mine is the .com Sorry :/ Why does it keep redirecting you?
Radioactive1 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I can't stop listening to it! I love it. And of course its really Billie. It sounds exactly like him.
Eirik Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think it the strings could have been replaced by piano many places, especially after the bridge, the way it is live.
ANJI Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think it the strings could have been replaced by piano many places, especially after the bridge, the way it is live. Yehh that would have sounded awesome!!
Abbey. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I do think anyone who saw the musical has an advantage when listening to this version. None of it sounded strange to me. It's not the identical arrangement from the musical, but it's very similar. I loved it from the first moment. I think Billie did a great job of producing it, too. j'net - is this johnny and whatshername singing to each other? i think its a tremendous job, i need to seek out some more things tom kitt has done...

Nova-Caine Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think it the strings could have been replaced by piano many places, especially after the bridge, the way it is live. This is the musical's arrangement though, not Green Day's live arrangement, that's where the differences lie and why,
Sara. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Lol didn't notice the missing solo, it's too breathtaking I didn't notice it either
drumstick Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think the first male voice you her IS Billie Joe...it sounds exactly like him
Laura! Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think the first male voice you her IS Billie Joe...it sounds exactly like him I know he sings in the 2nd verse and the 2nd chorus. But before that I don't think he sings at all.
Deniz. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I noticed the missing of the solo earlier..it was clear.. while i was listening it, i was thinking about if it's there or not. It's too bad, but anyway..beautiful
Eirik Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 This is the musical's arrangement though, not Green Day's live arrangement, that's where the differences lie and why, I know, but in my opinion it would have sounded better. I'm quite judgmental when it comes to music I enjoy.
chilloutzone21 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think it the strings could have been replaced by piano many places, especially after the bridge, the way it is live. thats true, the piano is more beautiful in the live version. however, its breathtaking, the vocals are great. I cant stop listening over and over again
Harinezumi Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think it's awesome, I only wish I'd seen the musical because then it'd make more sense. (You can't really "listen" to a musical, you know. ) But at least we'll get a video of them singing it.
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Beautiful. Just. Plain. Fucking. Beautiful.
Nova-Caine Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I know, but in my opinion it would have sounded better. I'm quite judgmental when it comes to music I enjoy. So then they would have been releasing something we'd already heard, if you can see what I am trying to say here, the whole point of this is that its from the musical and is someone else's interpretation of it. Btw just listened to the male voice again and I am convinced its Billie the whole way through now
