What I am loving is the contrast between the female vocals which are clearly theatrical and those of Billie's, and the fact it actually works.

I know right?

Some of those harmonies sent chills down my spine. I didn't hear the "Nobody Likes You" part though. :/

EDIT: I just heard it the second time I played it. Weird.

interesting...i find the depth of having the chorus and orchestration so additive to the song. of course i adore the billie joe original song but the way this is arranged makes it an entirely new and different song to me. i am so blown away and i now cannot even comprehend what the uniqueness of AI show experience is like.

Me too I love being given a different version and interpretation of a song, the contrast is so astounding, its so powerful. :)

i reeeally love this :) it's awesome to hear the song sung by, well not-billie xD.

and the background choir in the end is amazing.

i little miss the acoustic guitar in the beginning,

but all in all its really amazing. <3

beautiful. just beautiful.

can't wait to buy it from itunes.

I'm not mad about it actually, it's weird, I thought I'd like it more than I do. It's good but, some of it's a bit cringy, I think the "did you" "when you" bits are pretty awful, without that it would have been better. And they cut out the guitar solo! That's my favourite part of that song! Where is the version without "nobody likes you" at the end?

Holy shit was that beautiful...And I'm American and looking for "Nobody Likes You". Don't hear it yet...

I wish I had been able to see the musical as I am sure the directors interpretation and how it fits into the musical would make this arrangement all the more clear, 21 Guns has many levels and I have had conversations with people and realise that it means so many different things to people, I don't think it's a song you can pigeon hole tbh.

I can't wait to see the musical if they ever bring it to the UK :)

Fair enough in terms of pigeon-holing the song - it means what it means to everyone who hears it. Standing back from that, I just don't like how this sounds - it feels like it's had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at it.

It sounds pretty incredible. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm happy with the way it sounds.

Just a reminder to everyone that we can't have any downloads of the new material posted on GDA. Don't want Warner legal after us for distributing a song that comes out in a couple weeks.

So it's Billie? I was wondering if it was him or someone awfully sounding like him :P

is this sung between whatshername and johnny? fuk me this is gorgeous!

No, I hear it. I don't know what's going on with other people. Though I did hear it once w/o it. Who knows? Weird!

You're not crazy. I've heard it every time. :)

We're not talking about how many times that's been though.

A lot.

Well, Green Day loves the rest of the world so much that they don't want them to hear the "Nobody likes you". :D

I gotta hear the whole version sometime!

I think Billie is singing in the chorus, its a very familiar sounding voice coming through in there :)

thats too bad :( I am not a musical type person at all, but I think this sounds immense. I don't feel at all like its a bunch of stuff thrown together.

Ha, I kinda get that, I dunno, I feel like I should like it because it's a mixture of green day and really good musical singers, but I don't, maybe it'll grow on me. I really miss the guitar solo, without it the bridge just builds up to nothing.

I love the build up in the Choir for me that was the perfect climax for the arrangement, I didn't even notice the guitar solo was missing that's how entranced I was with it, but I do love musicals :)

Is it really Billie singing??? I think that it's not him. Probably somebody from the cast, I'm unsure though....
