Princess Consuela Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Oh my god, I can't describe how much I love it. Literally gave me chills once she started singing. Musicals have something magical for me, something you can't get at any other performances and so has this song. It made me want to see AI musical even more.
Nele Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 no. I can't.Yeah, but you don't live in the USA, right? I said that I think just people out of the US are able to hear it.
parinaz Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 so how does it feel hearing nobody likes you.? I mean how is it like? AI-ish ?
Allie90 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Jkklofjlbkufnklfj :verymad: Dammit it's only for americans It seems to be!!! WTF!!!!
parinaz Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Yeah, but you don't live in the USA, right? I said that I think just people out of the US are able to hear it. I see. right
Ally Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 OMG i love it! I thought billie would sing a bit more though, but its still epic!
Nele Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 It seems to be!!! WTF!!!! Well, Green Day loves the rest of the world so much that they don't want them to hear the "Nobody likes you".
Deniz. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I love it it's all I can say..pure love. I can't here the "nobody likes you" either..btw.
justcause Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Justcause: the "Did you" and "When you"s are like, the best part. I fucking cringed.
Princess Consuela Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 So there are two versions of the song, right? Sorry, I didn't follow this thread.
Nova-Caine Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Part of what makes 21 Guns so beautiful to me is that it's so stark and simple - it's this place of desolation where the flame of hope is the only thing left. This version doesn't work for me - there's just too much going on in terms of orchestration, choral stuff, and the 'did you', 'when you' thing just sucks imo. I'm bearing in mind that is theatrical stuff I'm listening to, and that it probably fills out the song in a rousing way onstage - but it's just not my cuppa tea, I guess. I wish I had been able to see the musical as I am sure the directors interpretation and how it fits into the musical would make this arrangement all the more clear, 21 Guns has many levels and I have had conversations with people and realise that it means so many different things to people, I don't think it's a song you can pigeon hole tbh. I can't wait to see the musical if they ever bring it to the UK
Allie90 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Well, Green Day loves the rest of the world so much that they don't want them to hear the "Nobody likes you".
Allie90 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Well, Green Day loves the rest of the world so much that they don't want them to hear the "Nobody likes you". LOL!!!! but I'm still interested to listen to the nobody likes you version as well!!
