Alan86 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 My Username comes from "Bullet in a Bible" I think i joined GDC around the time it was due out EDIT: It is 4 years today since i Joined GDC, I only started posting here regularly about a year ago though.
bjrules Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 This is such a great DVD. This is pretty much what inspired me to pick up the guitar, I can remember watching this and being completely blown away.
Emmalee Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Wow, has it really been 4 years?Bullet In A Bible was the first Green Day album I owned, as it came out here just as I was getting in to Green Day and rock music in general I think it'll always be a special cd/dvd for me hehe.I got it for my 18th birthday, and on the same day started a roadtrip with my mother while my sister was in Australia. I think I played the BIAB CD more or less non stop in the car on that trip and definitely did in the house we were staying in a week or so later, especially after my sister re-joined us. I remember listening to it and getting to know the songs, and hearing Good Riddance, Minority, Basket Case, When I Come Around and going "OMG THIS IS GREEN DAY??!!?? " because I'd loved those songs for years!!! hahaThen we got back home and finally watched the actual DVD and, having fallen completely in love/obsession, we spent more or less that entire summer break sleeping on the floor of our rumpus room, watching the DVD every night before we slept - it was epic times. We spend a good deal of the daytimes quoting lines from the behind-the-scenes segments as well. In fact I'm pretty sure it was this, and a general discovery and growing love of Green Day that brought the two of us so close and since then she's been one of my best friends <3So Happy Birthday/Anniversary Bullet In A Bible!!!
BadgerLALA Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Happy B-day BIAB I have watch that like 100 times. Even my mum like it.
Kaddi. Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Wow... 4 years Happy B-day BIAB I have watch that like 100 times. Even my mum like it. Same here. I remember that she was like "Why doesn't he get completely naked?" when Billie started to take off his tie and opened his shirt.
Laura! Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Wow, I can't believe it's been 4 years! I love Bullet in a Bible! I remember I pre-ordered it off of Amazon.com and was so angry when it came a few days after it was released because I thought I'd get it either before or on the day. I've seriously watched it over 100 times.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I watched it today First time in months I actively watched it instead of having it on while doing something else.I did fast forward the masturbation part, though. My mom was in the room, not watching but she could hear everything, could've been a bit awkward
SpiffyGiffy Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I didn't actually get it until a couple of weeks after it came out, and I can't remember why...But any time I listen to the CD or watch the DVD (especially the latter) it makes me feel all nostalgic
davegrohllover Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I can't believe it been out tat long. I remember when i got it for Christmas i was in total Shock and excitement

punkfunkdisco Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 This DVD means so much to me. So much that I didn't buy it until at least a couple of years after it came out But for Green Day to have played their biggest shows ever in my hometown, let alone release a DVD of their performances, was immense and watching it always brings back so many happy memories of that gorgeous June day.
Maddy. Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I'm watching it now. It's been so long since I watched it.. I always forget how awesome the backstage bits are. And how fucking mindblowing the performances. "I'M SO BEAUTIFUL!! WAAAOH!"
Hermione Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Bullet In A Bible was only the second live Green Day performance I ever saw footage of. When it came out I only had a VHS player so I bought my first DVD player just so I could watch it . Needless to say I loved it and watched it about a million times Now I have the internet and can (and do) watch many many different Green Day concerts, so it doesn't seem quite so special, but I will always have fond memories of all the enjoyment I got from it
Sarahnade. Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 Ugh, I forgot to watch it last night. I'll have to watch it soon. It's like the greatest thing ever. I love how it goes from color to black and white; the footage is so amazing. I love the behind the scenes footage, especially the Tre montage and them warming up before a show. It's awesome to see what they do. And I love seeing them perform in front of such a huge crowd.
cocopot Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 yes, the tre montage is my favourite part. i watch it on repeat. repeatedly.

Sara. Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Happy Anniversary Bullet In A Bible I watched biab yesterday  I wonder how many times I've seen it now I was in london this summer at the imperal war museum and I saw the bible with the bullet I searched all around the museum for hours just to see the bible. the museum is huge
Ingrid Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 ^ What? Where on earth did you find it?? I was also there this summer and looked all over for it, I thought it had been removed.
Mrs. Nobody Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Watched it now. fooking hellI remember the october after I bought it a few years ago, we went to London to see the family and i begged my parents to see the war museum. I mean it wasn't just because of GD, i have a general interest in war anyway.I was disapointed when the atomic bomb didn't make the 'booooing' aha
