TaylorKlinke Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 It was my first time really ever listening to the Bravery but I honestly don't think they were that bad. They were pretty good. I really love their song "Believe"... it's the only song I know by them. Haha. However, they were just like every other opening band in the world......no one is into their set that much because everyone came to the concert only to see the main band. I waited 5 years for my first Green Day concert so I was just waitin for their part of the show. But if I had to pick, I woulda rather seen Franz
misslyssx Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 The Kaiser Chiefs were alright. I had fun but I think it was just beause I was so excited for Green Day.The guy in front of me was freeeaking out for them and knew every song. Then he sat down when GD came out.I was thinking "Are you kidding me?".He didn't get up again untill Billie started screaming to get off your ass haha.
Velocity Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Kaiser Chiefs seemed pretty cool, I actually think they were better live than they are in the studio. But tbh I'd rather have seen Franz Ferdinand. And I'd seen The Bravery before, about a year ago, they're pretty good live.
nimrod-41 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Prima Donna were really good, but I found them a bit boring. In all fainess to them, it might've been that I didn't know any of their songs. But to be honest, I'm a little disapointed. There haven't been any great bands on this tour with Green Day yet...Hopefully the stadiums will be better Do we know who's supporting in Australia and Japan yet?
Trina Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 The Bravery - like a couple of their songs, know they're green day fans, didn't even know they were still going. So was suprised to see Green Day pick them (and for other reasons; Honestly didn't know Green Day listened to that kind of music)Kaiser chiefs - ew. mediocre. nothing i hate more. was suprised and kinda dissapointed. atleast they're helping bands break america..Franz - Nothing amazing but I say they were great live and i love some of their songs - Michael especially!Prima Donna - adore them <3
greendaytone Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I didn't get to see The Bravery or Franz Ferdinand. I quite like The Bravery so would've been interested to see them, Franz i'm not too fussed about, would be interesting to see them once though.Kaiser Chiefs i don't really have much time for, although i know most of their songs, so made the warm up more enjoyable for that reason. Prima Donna were my favourite of all the support acts though. I like their music and they seemed like good guys!
Opezi Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 kaiser chiefs. well i couldnt sing along because i had not heard of them until the concert but i love their songs at least the ones they played when i saw them
BadgerLALA Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Prima Donna was okay, I guess. I have herad better.
Smoothed Out Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 haha man you think he would have learnedi was at the MSG concert in New Yorkand he jumped off and hit the barrierthen got on stage, pulled up his shirt andyou could already see the massive purple black and blue welt on his ribsand it kinda looked either weirdly swollen or his rib was broken.I remember reading about that on the Kaiser Chiefs website-Ricky's done that a few times over his career on stage (broke his leg on stage in Portugal once)Ricky Wilson <3<3<3<3     :wub:this
Kryssi. Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I totally forgot to buy a Prima Donna shirt from the shows. Quite annoyed at meself. Anyway, what was that song they played where Kevin takes his coat off? "Because I lost.... because I lost..." and then all the lights go crazy.
Rebel07 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I don't like Franz Ferdinands music really, but they were pretty good live. I definatly prefered when MCR opened for Green Day 5 years ago
Sanny Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 If you guys just knew how funny it is to be reading all this stuff here Some people say the bands were great, some say they didn't like them - it's cool that people still have their own mind :3Well, I was at the show in Vienna and I enjoyed Prima Donna. I saw the crowd (at least the part in front of the stage) go crazy at some parts, and I really thought they were a good band. I just think they - especially the singer - tried too hard. But they were good, in my opinion
hellolaura Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I loved prima donna aswel!I thought they were a great opener to the show!
NoVaCaInE! Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 prima donna exceeded my expectations They were great! I met Kevin twice and he was a really really fuckin nice guy. I cant beleive i can say i've met a member of the foxboro hot tubs
poisonoak Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 i was@the halloween show, i like prima donna they r pretty good young band w/potential but i even enjoyed more when the tubbies came after them dont no if they count as openers...
NoVaCaInE! Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 i was@the halloween show, i like prima donna they r pretty good young band w/potential but i even enjoyed more when the tubbies came after them dont no if they count as openers...fuck yeah they do count, you lucky lucky person Im raging mad that i missed out on them and before i booked the tickets for london way back in may i was gonna do manchester instead *kicks self* i had a great time in london though so i aint complainin
cocopot Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 i thought Prima Donna deserved way more enthusiasm and appreciation that they got- the birmingham 28th show was a total let down! only me and a few others, from what i could see, were visibly moving let alone bobbing to the music. it's always so embarrassing when they try to engage with the audience, and they get no reaction whatever....until they mention green day. i thought the lead was a good front man, but taking off his coat and being too 'prancy' was a little too 'try hard' for me. i've heard better, i've heard worse.
poisonoak Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 fuck yeah they do count, you lucky lucky person Im raging mad that i missed out on them and before i booked the tickets for london way back in may i was gonna do manchester instead *kicks self* i had a great time in london though so i aint complainin lol loads of people @ that show actually missed it they were all outside buying drinks and stuff the place was more than half empty when they came on!!
Echo Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I really liked Prima Donna from what I saw (I got to the o2 about 10 minutes before they left). The Bravery in America, however, I wasn't too pushed on.
Sarahnade. Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I saw The Bravery. I did not like them at all. I didn't think they put on a good performance. They just bored me. I just don't think they are a very good live band. I would've loved to have seen Franz Ferdinand. I've loved them for about 5 years, and have their CD's. They write such amazing songs. Ugh, I would've LOVED that. I love the Kaiser Cheifs too. I got into them a few months ago, but I watched some of their live performances and I think they're great. They have amazing songs. I know a few Prima Donna songs, and I really like them too.
music_that_is Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I would rather see Franz Ferdinand or Kaiser Chiefs \\. Prima Donna wasn't bad but I didnt like them much tbh.
**She** Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 All in all, I liked prima donna. The problem was that they are not well known in germany at all. so no one in the audience knew any of their songs and it was kind of hard to party to songs you have never heard before.
