Tubbie Head Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I don't even understand why you would go to a Green Day show if you only knew a few songs. I mean 1. the tickets are expensive2. they sell out pretty fast so you really have to make the effort to find out exactly where / when they go on sale3. in order to get to the front you usually have to be there fairly early. why would you spend hours queuing, or doing any of this stuff for that matter, if you only know a few songs ?!The problem is.. Some people (fan girls) go to their concerts, and buy tickets "just beacuse Billy Joe is hot" :/
Maddy. Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I was going with the flow of traffic. Zoe was leading the way. Sorry if I bumped into you, but I definately didn't shove or punch anyone. I have never done that in my life.Don't quote img tags.

I'd never go up the front unless I knew the songs. I wouldn't mind going to a show of a band I don't like if it was because my friend wanted to go and she had no one to go with, but that'd only be if tickets were cheap. Green Day tickets for Dublin were €50 and that was the worst one for unfamiliarity
Prisca Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 DUDE. Last night was amazing!!!! As much as I enjoyed the Forum show, this one I think might have beat it due to the amount of old GD songs! I went crazy hearing Holden, Sassafras, Coming Clean, etc! It was just a great show overall. And I loooooooooved meeting everyone! You're all wonderful, especially Savannah & her gang! THANK YOU, again! <3
Bohemian+Scandal Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 so they are creepy "fantards" for yelling out the band name, yet you spent a lot of time watching him to see what he was doing during the show? ok.Whatever, dude. Lol. Joey was just in my direct line of vision. Believe me, I was focused on Billie and Mike and what I could see of Tre. Anyway, I can't wait to watch some of these vids even if I was there. You get kind of shell shocked when you're in the midst of it and it's like a happy blur in my mind right now. I just woke up and I have bruises all over me. I love post show pain! I feel so bad for the people who were falling over while getting to the pit. It wasn't a straight shot. We had to weave in and out of sections before we got there and the ground was so not even. I got shoved into when everyone was dashing for the pit and I just went flying forward. It was like a nitro boost and helped me get in front and to the barrier. Thanks random rude person. Haha.

Maybe just to say you have seen them? Weird
Mari91 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 ha ha sweet home alabama and sweet child o mine with mike and billie miming the blowjob http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr904zSUt_k ah thanks!youre amazing alex!
Mrs. Nobody Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I always wonder why people rush to get to the very front in some crazed frenzy....and then they don't know anything other than maybe Know Your Enemy, 21 Guns and a few tracks from American Idiot. It's not so much irritating anymore, because I saw it at all 4 shows I went to. It's just...strange. I don't understand why you'd bother wanting to get to the front if you don't know 90% of the songs :/omg, two girls next to me on the barrier didn't move, scream, sing all evening. one of them even dared give my 'longview' sign a dismissive look. bitch (:on topic, i love their sweet child o mine cover *.*
Juliette Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 The problem is.. Some people (fan girls) go to their concerts, and buy tickets "just beacuse Billy Joe is hot" :/But I mean it seems like a bit much. And also y'know if you're gonna go cause you think he's THAT hot, surely you'd like, want to hear some songs he sang ? I just don't understand it
valentinesandcigs Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 ah thanks!youre amazing alex!your welcome and thank you
Kate Austen Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Well it doesn't help that it was free. Think about it, LA + Free show = lots of fan girls with nothing better to do then go to see Billie's sexyness. I agree tho, some of the people that attend these things are ridiculous. I was standing next to some people who told me this guy told them "I think Green Day is coming out with a new album or something."I'm just like..really..lol the fuck!?
firewatersign Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 The wait to get in was exhausting. The 1iota people had no idea what was going on, but they were nice enough to walk up and down the line to give us updates once in a while. It was actually my friend's first concert ever. We were determined that she definitely had to see Green Day first so we were pretty much hell bent on getting there. We ended right next to the stage on Billie Joe's side. The bouncer there was an asshole. Someone threw up in the pit really close to us and he just stood there and wouldn't help at all. We were all really upset cuz people can slip in it when things get crazy. There were people freaking out right next to the puke for almost thirty minutes before help came. And then a girl fainted during the St. Jimmy moshing and he did nothing. The sound quality was amazing especially the drums. The sound check was hilarious. Billie was like "I can hear you!" over the loudspeakers and everyone went crazy. I was surprised he didn't end with Good Riddance but I'm guessing NBC's gonna show the concert footage and then have Billie Joe play Good Riddance live.

This is what happened to me at the Nov 1st show at Wembley, I was a fair way away from the barrier but by the end of the night there was only one person between me and the barrier.Glad you had fun!50 secs of Burnout: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au3qHYo1FJ4

I was hearing that, but I didn't know for sure. Really gross to have puke on the floor, but probably harmless since there's too many people walled around to really fall. Still suck though. XD I didn't know someone fainted. Did they pull her out eventually? What happened to her?
bennie Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I was going with the flow of traffic. Zoe was leading the way. Sorry if I bumped into you, but I definately didn't shove or punch anyone. I have never done that in my life.Wow thanks for that run down, was great to hear how it all went down. Sounds like it was a fantastic concert! Was wondering how Billie was sounding? Did he sound like he had a cold or is that just something people are saying after their performance at the AMAs?

Kryssi. Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Props to Tanya meeting Billie!!And I hate it when you have people in front of you at shows that know hardly any of their fucking songs. That happened in Birmingham on the first night I think it was, and this idiot in front of me with her boyfriend kinda like butt punched me backwards during the show, and thought Tre was giving her the tongue and faces for 2 minutes, even though it was me :/anyway, I got her back, the nuclear shit that I was coughing up, well.... let's just say that some of it happened to land on her back.
Savannah Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 DUDE. Last night was amazing!!!! As much as I enjoyed the Forum show, this one I think might have beat it due to the amount of old GD songs! valentinesandcigs Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 well i guess in LA whenever something cool happens people must be there. the same thing happened with a thom yorke concert i think random people just bought tickets and didnt even know who the hell thom yorke was.

Really gross to have puke on the floor, but probably harmless since there's too many people walled around to really fall. Still suck though. XD I didn't know someone fainted. Did they pull her out eventually? What happened to her?Yeah, a girl threw up and people just kinda formed a circle around it until a really nice guy from the crowd cleaned it up. And then during St. Jimmy someone fainted and the security pulled her out. It took a little while though cuz the bouncer just stood there.
farley drexel hatcher Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I hate when people aren't joining in at the shows, in London I had one girl squeeze in next to me at the barrier (and she hadn't been in the first batch of people to be let in) and all she did was take photos all night, she barely even sang. Was Billie actually unwell or are people just assuming that?
Bohemian+Scandal Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 This is what happened to me at the Nov 1st show at Wembley, I was a fair way away from the barrier but by the end of the night there was only one person between me and the barrier.Glad you had fun!Thankfully I was on the barrier the whole show. Zoe's right, when the floor opens up, a lot of people don't really know what to do. The chick behind me was trying to sneakily Bogart my spot about halfway through the show though. Haha. She was like digging her elbow into my shoulder and trying to wedge herself inbetween me and Matt. She failed, but succeeded in bruising my back/shoulder pretty deeply. Lol.
