Great name. I just saw Them Crooked Vultures play a secret show at the Roxy the other day. Grohl was a fucking beast on drums. And well..Homme is just too sexy on vocals/guitar. What an incredible band.

Green Day fans are my favorite. I really love them, even if I'm older then some. I try my best to give back as much as I can. I won't make promises, but I will try my best to see if I can find out any info on plans for a local show.

As far as TCV - I was too broke to go to the Wiltern gig. I was working that night anyways (doing some filming for FRINGE on FOX). BUT....I did go to that Roxy show (only 400 people) - and them crooked vultures are INCREDIBLE live. Def recommend them to everyone.

I could come. I know how to spot bullshit. I'm optimistic that this "Chris" person means well and won't spoon-feed crap or patronize you, but this is LA. Entertainment types are all bullshitters at the end of the day. I'm also a big lover of words. Each world has its own particular meaning. While the offers he makes may sound good, the underlying meaning may not be what you think it is. This is where the whole "spotting bullshit" capability comes in.

There's been no confirmation of any secret shows as of yet. We're just speculating. Since they did some secret shows as Foxboro back in England this past month, and that they did a trio of secret shows back in April (one of which I was lucky enough to go to), we just figure that the boys would probably do a secret show while they were in LA. I mean, we have a bunch of clubs. And thanksgiving isn't until that thursday, meaning a Tuesday secret show could happen.

A few pages back I had done some research about the schedules at the various major clubs in LA, including the clubs that Green Day, Pinhead, and Foxboro have played at in the past. I doubt they'd do any secret shows in the OC, but they did do one in Fullerton as Foxboro in '08.

I have a feeling they might do one at the Troubadour, if only because there are two suspiciously empty days (the 23rd and 24th) during the time that they boys are scheduled to be in LA. And none of the other clubs I've looked at seem to have schedules suitable to perform a secret show.

Just keep watching the thread or the Authority to see if anything pops up. It its anything like England, there will be a little bit of an advanced warning about such things.

It's not guaranteed by any means. No proof. Just fan speculation. They will be in LA on the 23rd (as you know) - and there are bunch of opening spots at small venues during that time. They might do a show, the might not. But in the past when they have done secret shows, they came out of no where. So as fans, you have to kind of keep on your toes - and anticipate anything. So no harm in doing so.

And the reason we got the Foxboro Hot Tubs was down to The Rev putting it down in a blog on their MySpace last year saying that he had England on his mind. Which sparked loads of rumour mills. The band wanted to play over here as the Foxies, and only managed to book something three days prior to the actual show itself.

Who knows if they'll do a secret show or not...

Yeah I mean they already did a kinda secret show at the Fonda back in May I think. So who knows if they will do a secret show or not.

Fonda show was great, but IMO the band was already a bit worn thin at that point. Def not the best show I have seen. With that said, it was nice getting to see most of the 21st Century album live (at the time I had no idea they had plans to cut that down for their arena show).

My friend just finished the 'special casting' for i1ota. Zoe ... you might want to cancel your flight.

All they do is ask you around 10 questions about Green Day. Why do you love them? Who is your favorite member?

This is all shot on video. They are going to select the 'best' of the interview answers and air them during the Carson Daly show, in between the performances. There is no interviewing Green Day, or anything cool like that. Oh, and there were only girls at the audition ... which makes me wonder ... Does that mean men can't be their biggest fans too?

My friend got it and he is a guy. I'm really excited for Zoe and him.
