Guest Shangri-La Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Steven, i see you lurking! did you get a ticket?
Prisca Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I have a question! The ticket says that we should have received updated info by today but I haven't received anything.... how about you guys?

If it says pre-wristbanding is at 4, it's updated.
Savannah Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 why don't we all meet at a starbucks or something? here's two that are close:1201 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA - (213) 765-4573800 W Olympic Blvd # 102, Los Angeles, CA - (213) 748-1009 It's on google maps. I don't know, we can decide whatever if you guys don't like starbucks.
Kate Austen Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Yeah, if you go look at your E-ticket, you will notice the info has updated on it. The one thing I want to stress, is the fact that at the bottom of the ticket (in small font) it says:"E-Tickets are in excess of capacity, therefore a ticket MAY NOT GUARANTEE entry".Now, I'm not saying 100% - this is how will it be done. But as I said before, usually these events they give out more tickets then they actually have space for. And they do this to make sure they are guaranteed to have a full crowd. Make sure to get there early regardless. At the worst, you will get to hang out with some really cool Green Day fans. I doubt anyone here will have a problem getting in. I'm just warning those that plan on getting there late, you might not get in.

Bohemian+Scandal Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I think we should meet at the spot where they're going to be giving out wristbands. Just to check it out and see if we need to get in a line or what.

Hanamay Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I'm really glad that you guys have cracked the code and managed to all get tickets, have a fab time!
Kate Austen Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 If you are flying in for this - or driving a good distance, DEF get there around 2. They are giving out wrist bands at 4. I have no idea how crazy people will get with the lines (since space is limited). If you are a local (if you live in LA) - I would just drive by, and gauge what time you get there by the size of the line.I only suggest that people get there around 2 (or earlier) if they are coming from a longer distance. Because IMO - if you are going to be coming that far, you need to guarantee that you will get into this. So the waiting is def worth it (you already came this far, didn't you....). But maybe 2 is too early. I know for sure everyone should at the least get there by 4 (the time they are giving out wrist bands). Once you get your wrist band, you are guaranteed in.Lastly, I think we should have us GDCers text/keep in contact with someone on the board, so that we can tell others how big the line is throughout the day. So anyone that is planning on getting there early to hang out, please give someone on here your cell, so that way folks know when they should leave. It would be of great help.
Pinheadstern Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 on the ticket it says do not bring any digital equipment, i wanted to bring my Ipod
Kate Austen Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 on the ticket it says do not bring any digital equipment, i wanted to bring my Ipod I assume they just mean Cameras and recording devices. What purpose would they have for no iPods. I doubt they will care if you have an iPod in your pocket.
