Guest Shangri-La Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I just got my tickets confirmed...but I put A Fake name on it and it says you gotta take a ID.Why would you put a fake name? And good luck getting in if it's 16+
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Why would you put a fake name? And good luck getting in if it's 16+Because I don't trust the internet for anything. And Yeah I just read the age thing.Somehow my mom told me she knows a way I can get in even though im 13.
Guest Shangri-La Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Wait, why aren't they performing live from Times Square on New Year's? We've been led to believe that they'll be ringing in the New Year with Carson in New York. People will know if they're in LA.I was kind of hoping they'd be amongst millions of people rocking out that night. It's one of those stupid new years specials. They'll show the performance on tv but green day will not be playing in nyc that night.
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I think I'll just hang out around there....
Laura! Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 It's one of those stupid new years specials. They'll show the performance on tv but green day will not be playing in nyc that night. Are they taping the November 23rd show and using that during the New Years thing?
Kate Austen Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Are they taping the November 23rd show and using that during the New Years thing?Yes.
Guest Shangri-La Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Are they taping the November 23rd show and using that during the New Years thing?precisely
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 So the show is like, gonna be an hour of them performing?
Riker Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Anyone worried about the ID's or ages not matching the tickets, i got some tickets to see Weezer a few weeks ago on Jimmy Kimmel through 1 iota and as long as you just had the printed tickets, you were fine. They didn't check ID's or names to match the paper.

Brandon R. Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Ticket says they will perform from 9:15ish to 11ish.That's an hour and forty-five minutes.
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Ticket says they will perform from 9:15ish to 11ish.That's an hour and forty-five minutes.Thats gonna be a nice setlist.
Guest Shangri-La Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Ticket says they will perform from 9:15ish to 11ish.That's an hour and forty-five minutes. It says that's what times the event will take place. That could mean anything!I'm going to have a conniption pretty soon.
Brandon R. Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 It says that's what times the event will take place. That could mean anything!I'm going to have a conniption pretty soon.True.Here is what it says.."Band will perform around 9:15 pm. Event will be over around 11:00 PM"I hate cryptic shitastic messages!
HoneyDo666 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 The whole damn shebang better be played on TV! It'll still be huge! Especially for those of us who have to wait half a year to see them live again I'm so excited for New Year's! I love it when Green Day are on my TV!They'll probably be seamlessly blending in the performance with the NYC stuff, after all Carson will be with them in LA.
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I'll bring a fake ID just incase Joebot33 was wrong.
Kate Austen Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 If they are letting people in at around 7 - the show will start at 9:15. They also have no opening act. So pretty sure this will be a 1 hour show. Even if the band decided to take the stage 40 min late, that gives them 1 hour and 15 min to do a show.
Riker Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Yes.is this 100% confirmed? seems kinda weird to do the performance a month early. They've done live new years concerts with Mtv several times no?
Bohemian+Scandal Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 The 21 and older thing is non sense. The 1iota site does the 21 and over thing all the time - but it's by accident. They have a default setting for "age restriction" - and unfortunately when an event has any restriction at all it defaults to 21. There is other options, but that is simply what happened here. The event is 16 and older - as is stated on the tickets. So anyone worried about the 21 and over thing should NOT worry about this. What you should worry about is getting their super early, because it's gonna be first come first serve (no assigned areas) - as it's an open Plaza, and only holds 2,000 people. The event is from 9:15 to 11 - so I just assumed it was going to be a 1 hour concert (hence why I was hoping for a front to back, kind of like what they did for Almost Acoustic X-Mas). But you are prob right.Thank you so much, Kate for letting us know. I <3 you. I think for free a show from 1-2 hours is worth it for free. Lol.

I don't know if I've seen you on the GDC before. And you know many things...
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 is this 100% confirmed? seems kinda weird to do the performance a month early. They've done live new years concerts with Mtv several times no?You haven't answered my question...
Guest Shangri-La Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I'll bring a fake ID just incase Joebot33 was wrong.you have a fake id?
Kate Austen Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 is this 100% confirmed? seems kinda weird to do the performance a month early. They've done live new years concerts with Mtv several times no?I personally haven't seen this 100% confirmed. But if it is in fact a New Years Eve special, there is no way they will show it before New Years. Plus artist do this all the time. (Film a holiday special before the holiday).
Bohemian+Scandal Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 It says that's what times the event will take place. That could mean anything!I'm going to have a conniption pretty soon. That's why I'm worried about the peeps coming from so far. Who knows what's going to be happening, ya know? It could be amazing and it could be a complete bust.... Local people have nothing to loose, but far away people are taking a gamble.
