Hermione well deserved it though A bit like that Friends episode where Rachel tells Monica she has to make all her decisions for her && congrats to everyone who got tickets. You lucky GDC-ers
farley drexel hatcher Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Are people actually coming from England for this? wow they must be rich XD
Kryssi. Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Are people actually coming from England for this? wow they must be rich XDYeah, unfortunately, I've nothing to sell. Not even a body.
Guest Shangri-La Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Yeah, unfortunately, I've nothing to sell. Not even a body.nonsense! put on your penis suit and go stand on the street corner.
Kryssi. Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 nonsense! put on your penis suit and go stand on the street corner.Lol. I don't have it yet. I'm not desirable either. So let's get that outta the way. Guh, I wish my mum could afford even HALF my flight, but that's near impossible.
farley drexel hatcher Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Yeah, unfortunately, I've nothing to sell. Not even a body.I wouldn't worry too much about it, Kryssi. We had some amazing shows on our own soil and it's not as if it's going to be a particularly special show, unless i've missed something (and by special I mean unheard songs or FHT or something, not that every GD show isn't special in its own right, but yeah). Plus we have the stadiums next year.

Plus we have the stadiums next year. I'm trying not to. It's just that I know a few people going and I would really like to go, but there's no way in Hell I could do it... I'd get into even more debt through this as I don't have amazing parents that could lend me money, i'm lucky to get a tenner most of the time, but you're right. The UK shows were amazing and Tre thought so too, he said to a BBC interviewer at the EMA's. I couldn't've asked for a better two weeks on tour... well, apart from being in good HEALTH.
Bohemian+Scandal Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 It will be pretty odd for the people admitting the will-calls to see IDs from all over the states and even the world. Lol. I still wanna know WHY they didn't say it had to be 21+....

There's always may/june/paris to look forward to It will be pretty odd for the people admitting the will-calls to see IDs from all over the states and even the world. Lol. I still wanna know WHY they didn't say it had to be 21+....i feel like they just wanted to trick us or something. it's seriously stupid how they went about this whole thing. And then on our tickets it says to refresh them after next week for new important information we have to know. what the hell?
Hanner Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 fuck i have the tickets. and getting to LA is no problem. but getting to the actual show is a big problem. i have no ride. everybody is working then. uugh i really hope this doesn't happen to me again.

I just really hope none of us under 21 people get screwed when the person checking us off glances down at our IDs and sees that were so not 21. If we get called out on it I wonder what we should say.
Hanner Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Yeah. Ew to the whole process. Yeah I would bust that argument out, but of course they'd ask how you got a ticket without changing your age... Ect. I'll probably just say, "I have no idea it just gave me a ticket." XD
saintcarlos Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Maybe they just don't want younger people or maybe, as someone mentioned, 21 was the "secret code", for 21st century breakdown.

You could use public transit in L.A. depending on where you are when you get there.I plan to take the metro bus from the Greyhound station to the Staples center. And if that doesn't work I'll just walk. It's only 2.2 miles.
Riker Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 You could use public transit in L.A. depending on where you are when you get there.I plan to take the metro bus from the Greyhound station to the Staples center. And if that doesn't work I'll just walk. It's only 2.2 miles. there's a new metro station that opened up right near the Nokia theatre. if you can get to a subway station around town, you'll get to the show no problem. It's a quick stop from Union Station too. this site should help anyone looking for a way into downtown http://www.staplescenter.com/doublecol.php...ctransportation
Jamzombie89 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I really dont think anyone has to worry about the 21 thing. It says 16 plus with an i.d. They really cant randomly change it, you know that would cause hell.
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I just got my tickets confirmed...but I put A Fake name on it and it says you gotta take a ID.
amy_runs Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Has anyone ever been to the Nokia theatre before? I was wondering if they charge you to park there.Probably. Everywhere charges! And this is a MINI concert everyone. No 21CB front to back or anything spectacular. They're just filming for the New Years Eve show!
Kate Austen Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 The 21 and older thing is non sense. The 1iota site does the 21 and over thing all the time - but it's by accident. They have a default setting for "age restriction" - and unfortunately when an event has any restriction at all it defaults to 21. There is other options, but that is simply what happened here. The event is 16 and older - as is stated on the tickets. So anyone worried about the 21 and over thing should NOT worry about this. What you should worry about is getting their super early, because it's gonna be first come first serve (no assigned areas) - as it's an open Plaza, and only holds 2,000 people.Probably. Everywhere charges! And this is a MINI concert everyone. No 21CB front to back or anything spectacular. They're just filming for the New Years Eve show! The event is from 9:15 to 11 - so I just assumed it was going to be a 1 hour concert (hence why I was hoping for a front to back, kind of like what they did for Almost Acoustic X-Mas). But you are prob right.
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 What if you don't have a ticket? Can you still go??
Kate Austen Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I just got my tickets confirmed...but I put A Fake name on it and it says you gotta take a ID.Well, I'm still able to get ticket. Just go to your tickets and "DELETE REQUEST" Then go back and request 2 tickets with your real nameWhat if you don't have a ticket? Can you still go??You def need a ticket. No ticket - no entry. Unless you have hook ups.

Unless you have hook ups.Yeah but is this gonna be outside?Like is it gonna be inside or on the street?Cause If I can't change the ticket thing maybe I can see/hear it from far away?
Kate Austen Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Yeah but is this gonna be outside?Like is it gonna be inside or on the street?Cause If I can't change the ticket thing maybe I can see/hear it from far away? It's outside in the Plaza area between Nokia and Staples center. I posted this a page back - but here it is again. This is where they are playing:And I imagine the Plaza will be closed off. But you can hear the music if you stand on the outside - sure.
HoneyDo666 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Wait, why aren't they performing live from Times Square on New Year's? We've been led to believe that they'll be ringing in the New Year with Carson in New York. People will know if they're in LA.I was kind of hoping they'd be amongst millions of people rocking out that night.
