I would love to go to this show, but I have no way to get down there. I live in Oakland and do not even think I should put in a request. It would be just my luck that if I do try, I would win [long story] and then be stuck with no transportation.

Maybe if something as awesome as this comes up up here in the Bay Area [Oakland, Berkeley, or SF] I would be more inclined to enter.

I'm also hoping that being from Los Angeles helps. I know for the Fox show, initially bay area people were selected because they were the most likely to claim their won tickets.

I figure that for a free concert, they'd want people who would surely come, so that they wouldn't have to face the embarrassment of filling up seats from no-shows.

I guess you could keep trying. I'm not sure how they are doing it.

Since we've only seen two (alleged) ticket confirmations, I think we need to be patient.

And also, the Oakland business is there to prove the level of desire of those applying for tickets. If you really love green day, you're most likely looking at 1iota and GD.com in tandem. They want people who will look excited to be there. The cheapest solution is to enlist real, die-hard fans and not just apathetic hipsters.

Did your friend get in the same way too? just immediate ask to confirm? or did they have to wait on pending awhile? I'm beginning to wonder if i should keep on deleting and resending my request until i get accepted if thats the case...i feel insane...
