louizex Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I thought my chemical romance supported for milton keynes? O.oI want Blink 182! :~) 4.00pm? hmmmm....... how to convince mother to stand for that long?? XD
nimrod-41 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Most likely be 3 or even 4 support bands, then Green Day in the evening.Woah shit, Jimmy Eat World & Green Day in one concert ? That's pretty much my idea of heaven.'For Me This Is Heaven'
scottrowan200 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 there more like festivals ..........when i saw foo fighters in this plcae in manchestersupport was egals of death metal, the subways, angels and airwaves and the strokes
Hayley1979 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 4.30 means doors open at 4.30 not show starts. It was the same at U2 earlier in the year.Wembely has a 11pm curfew on a Saturday, so taking things backwards from there :- Green Day (on stage for 2 1/2 - 3 hours) will be on at 8.00. Support Act II (on stage for 30 - 45 mins) will be on at 7.00. Support Act I (on stage 30 mins) will start around 6-6.15pm.This is only my best guesss and could be totally wrong - I would be happy for a 5 hour Green Day show and no support. Ha Ha Maybe i wasnt going mad after all
Sister of Grace Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I think there will be a few support bands. Hopefully good ones
DeJennsitized Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I think doors open at 4.30pm, so I'm gonna hazard a guess at Support Act #1 coming on at around 5.30, Support Act #2 at 6.15, Support Act #3 at 7pm and then Green Day at 8. At the Belfast gig, Prima Donna came on half an hour after doors opened at 6.30, and the Odyssey held 14,000 people. Because Wembley holds 90,000, I'm guessing it would take twice as long to get everyone in through the doors.Although this is just me speculating...I've been to a small club gig, and a medium sized arena gig, but never a huge stadium show.
angie green Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 dont know about Wembley but Manchester does this every year, there will be other bands on from 5ish playing until Green Day come on.Only problem is it's a Wednesday, hopefully ill be able to get the day off work.lets hope they have good bands
novacaine_kid Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I was at the Foo Fighters Wembley Stadium show last summer. They had 2 supports and the Foo's were on around 8 and played til about 10.30. So I'm guessing the template for the show will be pretty similar. The MK support was good with the exception of Hard-Fi. I'd love to see a band like J.E.W supporting them again actually. I just wonder how long it will be until the Blink-182 rumours start
blc Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 i think they'l more than likely have 2/3 supports, like milton keynes. i've been too wembley the last two years and they've always had three supports.sooo.. pinhead gunpowder, the network, hottubs then green day anyone? loll.my boyfriend's holding out for mcr to support but i'm not sure how likely it is, because they supported muse at wembley stadium in 07.
Tashidge Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I've never been to a huge stadium show before so I can only speculate. Maybe they'll have two or three supports, mind you, I think three is a little too much. Can only hope that they're good acts. FBHT playing a set maybe? Anyone think that we'll get Peacemaker this time round?
Kryssi. Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I'm excited to see when they release details of a support act for these shows. I wonder if they'll bring Prima Donna again?
Nomis Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Ha! Love the fact support act being discussed already.Well lets chuck out there TLE, WAS, Silverchair, Supergrass, BFS and some up and coming american punk/indie band.
Kryssi. Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 It all depends on the schedueles of those other bands, too. I'm thinking that they will be 2 support acts, no more. I mean, on the US tour, they had 2 support acts, I think maybe down to longer opening laws for arenas over there. I still like the fact that there was only Prima Donna on the European and UK tour, even though they could've mixed up their set a bit.
piratepalmer Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Me Too Me three I'm taking my 8 year old daughter so she'll be asking for Hannah Montana and X Ray Spex as support.Yep. You can see what I have to deal with here..........
Radioactive1 Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I'm excited to see when they release details of a support act for these shows. I wonder if they'll bring Prima Donna again?I hopee not. I really wasn't too fond of them.
suicidexmakeover Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I hopee not. I really wasn't too fond of them.Ha ha same, they were proper boring, i want some well known bands that I can sing to! TBS would be amazing again Maybe Paramore
Kryssi. Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Me three I'm taking my 8 year old daughter so she'll be asking for Hannah Montana and X Ray Spex as support.Yep. You can see what I have to deal with here..........I was thinking about taking my 6 (he will be by next June) year old brother to the shows... not a strong thought as he's the biggest pain in the ass... however, did you get a ticket for your daughter too, Mares?

Hermione Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 The Razorbax sound like the best idea to me I'm hoping for Prima Donna as well. I enjoyed them very much supporting Green Day and if the boys feel like doing something a bit interesting while they're over here it would be very convenient...I do actually hate most rock bands so there's two of the limited amount of options I'd be happy with. It seems like with this tour so far Green Day has pretty much picked their own support and I like that, whoever it is I hope the band chooses.
Hayley1979 Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Maybe Paramore :wink:lol!!! omg can you imagine what it would be like queueing up outside?
Kryssi. Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 If Paramore support.... I'll have a bag of rotten placenta and tomato soup ready...
Alan86 Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I wouldnt be too keen on Prima Donna either, though if it means the possibility of the FBHT then sign them up.
