.Brian Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 they also played (White Man) in Hammersmith Palais by the Clash
benhww Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009 We should make a definitive list of songs they played.Good idea. I'll start and people can just update. The definite one I'm sure we've concluded is Rock N Roll Radio. I'll add a few others I know they played at Manchester and people can just add what they heard at their shows. We cool?? :/ Not in any order may I add...Do You Remember Rock N Roll Radio - The RamonesSurrender - Cheap TrickYMCA - Village PeopleDon't Stop Till You Get Enough - Michael JacksonUnity - Operation IvyThe Passenger - Iggy PopDancing With Myself - Billy IdolWe're Not Gonna Take It - Twisted SisterBullet - The MisfitsOur Lips Are Sealed - The Go - Go'sVacation - The Go - Go'sIf The Kids Are United - Sham 69I Fought The Law - Bobby FullerThat's what I can remember. Sorry if I haven't wrote down what other people said, I'll leave that for people who know the song and remember it being played to add to the list that way it's a bit more definitive. Feel free to add songs before the support act too, The Misfits track there was played before Prima Donna. So were two other Misfits songs, I'm sure one of them was Hollywood Babylon but I can't be certain of that or the other.
Lauren Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 you didn't add Taxman by the Beatles and One Hundred Punks by Generation X.I heard Taxman at three shows, and One Hundred Punks at two.
DecanoLP Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Woah, I can't remember anything...lol Just YMCA and Rock N Roll Radio.
farley drexel hatcher Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I might try and make a playlist of all these songs. Revloution came on my iPod yesterday and it brought all the memories back XD
Arctic Fox Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Aw shucks, I missed the Dead Kennedys ones. Haven't listened to them for months!
gone2pasalacqua Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 at the concert i went to (san jose 8/18/09) i remember they played "love will tear us apart" by joy divison which made me SOOOO HAPPY because its one of my favorite songs (and its tattooed on my foot haha)
benhww Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 Well over the past couple of months I've foubd alot of stuff they played at the gigs I went to in October and at manchester and Wembley this year. So here's a list of songs I heard played before. I know there'll be stuff missing but feel free to add. In no particular order... Revolution - The Beatles Taxman - The Beatles Neat Neat Neat - The Damned Surrender - Cheap Trick Should I Stay Or Should I Go - The Clash California Uber Allies - Dead Kennedys Freedom Of Choice - Devo My Way - Frank Sinatra Dancing With Myself - Generation X Vacation - The Go-Go's Our Lips Are Sealed - The Go-Go's The Passenger - Iggy Pop I Love Rock N Roll - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts Rock N Roll All Night - Kiss Don't Stop Til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson YMCA - Village People Mommy Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight - The Misfits Hollywood Babylon - The Misfits Bullet - The Misfits Unity - Operation Ivy Do You Remember Rock N Roll Radio? - The Ramones We're Not Gonna Take It - Twisted Sister There's others but this is what I can gather was played at the shows I was at, guessing it'll be the same for most places with a few different ones in the mix like. Still can't figure for the life of me what that country one was After the show: If The Kids Are United - Sham 69 At the american idiot shows I remember them playing: Time Bomb - Rancid Fight For Your Right - Beastie Boys Blitzkrieg Bop - The Ramones That was a long time ago and my ageing mind can't remember much else All these songs together make for a cracking playlist
Alllllli. Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 ^^ That sounds exactly right to me! At Wembley we had a tech in front of us for ages who had a little tag on his belt with loads of cards on it - one of them was the '30 Minute Set Count-Down' and listed all of the songs that are played in the run-up to them coming on stage. I always start to get REALLY excited at Op Ivy
NoVaCaInE! Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 When I hear Rock n Roll Radio.... My heart actually jumps up into my throat because I know whats about to happen - amazingness
Rock'n'RollGirlfriend Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Reading the titles of the songs, I feel like I remember them being played, but probably just my imagination. =p I think for the Tampa show I remember 'Rock N Roll Radio' and 'We're Not Gonna Take It' sometime before the show. DEFINATELY 'YMCA' for Drunk Bunny. After the show, I remember 'Blitzkrieg Bop'.. That's all I remember though. It's been almost a year since I saw them. hahaha.
benhww Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 ^^ That sounds exactly right to me! Thank you!
BrianD Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 They played a Replacements song before the Dublin gig in Marlay Park last week, but I can't remember which one.
iwroteholdencaulfield! Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 i only remember Revolution by The Beatles...sorry my memory sucks
benhww Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 They played a Replacements song before the Dublin gig in Marlay Park last week, but I can't remember which one. Wish I heard that, I love the Replacements. I never understood why I hadn't heard them played at a Green Day concert beforeas I know Billie Joe is a big fan. Athough saying that if my band was gonna play a show and I had to pick music to play before I probably wouldn't put Green Day on even though they're my favourite band
east cc nowhere Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I remember the ramones being played. there was also a really strange song - cant remember what it was, it was a really soppy corny love song -not very green day like at all!!!
gone2pasalacqua Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I remember a Joy Division song, a couple Ramones songs, and YMCA right before drunk bunny came out.
shit Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I know they played Pink Peg Slacks by Eddie Cochran when I saw them in Pittsburgh, because I was pretty excited to hear it. I don't think anybody else cared, but that guy's fantastic. Tre said he was a fan of Eddie in an interview last year.
Isabel Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I need to find out the name of the country sounding song before the first support band as well! It's killing me Does anyone have any idea what it's called?
Marki. Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 well at maint they played pieces of truth They played it in Prague as well I wanted to sing or scream really loud but no one seemed to do anything...
Isabel Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I need to find out the name of the country sounding song before the first support band as well! It's killing me Does anyone have any idea what it's called? Never mind, it's called Weary Blues From Waitin' by Hank Williams
