i loved weezer's cover of worry rock and i love this. they cover a song the right way: they change it. the only thing i would have changed about it is adding maybe an acoustic guitar to back up the piano a bit

Interesting. I don't hate it - as a matter of fact, there are parts I quite like. However, I miss the way Billie says his face is "dub" as if he's really just come from the dentist and can't say it properly. I liked the piano - except one part that sounded too orchestral or something (I think it's around the "mind is set on overdrive" part).

All in all ... interesting ... and always gratifying to see that others are interested in covering our boys' music. Thanks for sharing.

Really, really good way of explaining how Billie says it. I pretty much agree with the rest of your post as well. I didn't dislike it, and I thought it was actually pretty cool.

This was...interesting. It was good, I think, but I'm not sure how much I like it hehe. Mostly because Brain Stew is one of my favourite GD songs, and mostly because of the guitars and the way Billie Joe sings it.

I agree!!! That, and his voice/pronunciation really makes it sound quite creepy, and changes the song completely. And it loses that frustrated edginess that I always get from the original version. [Don't think I worded that very well ].

I do however, appreciate how they made it their own, I think someone above already said something like that, and that's what a song cover is supposed to do =)

I'll admire a band more if they try to cover Green Day. It's different too - that's what I like about it too. The music is different but they don't change the lyrics which is what's awesome.

I've never hated Weezer, I've liked them some - but this makes me like them more.
