alaniluau Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 This is one of the first songs from Insomniac that I really got into. The lyrics are cool.
bjrules Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 This is a great song, and one that I think they should play live. Its very easy to relate to.
Freeny Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Tiffx said: This is a song I listen to when it feels like everything is going to shit. It means a lot to me. To me it really emphasises feeling pathetic and defeated. So whenever I'm feeling horrible about myself or my life in general, this is the perfect song to relate to and it makes me feel better because I know I'm not the only one who has felt useless. I also think the song is a bit sarcastic, especially the throw me back into the gutter part. Which is why I love Green Day's music because it can be simple yet have a double meaning. This just shows that Green Day's older music has never just been about 'masturbation and getting high'. It really frustrates me how nearly every review or person who doesn't really listen to them assumes that. I mean if you look at the lyrics, this song is also talking about separating yourself from society and expressing a frustration with being subjugated. Some people act like that was a completely new theme in American Idiot. Anywayy that's what the song means to me, one of my favourites on Insomniac. I'll stop ranting about it now though.couldn't have said it better myself. I agree 100 percent!Stuck With Me is such an awesome song, and I love how Green Day the video feels.
Agija Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Nice choice. It's not one of my favorite songs, but I've always enjoyed listening to it.
rinu Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Yeeees!! This song is in my top 5 Green Day songs.
ANJI Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I love this song!! I love the video and the lyrics...I listen to it evryday
LilyMarie Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 This is one of those songs where the volume MUST go up to max when it comes on. Funny, I stayed up late last night making a ringtone of this song before I saw that it was SOTW.I wonder what it was originally supposed to be called?

novacaine_kid Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Awesome song, one of my favourites from Insomniac. Just a good, raucous punk rock jam
*Jade_Green_Day* Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 You can't go wrong with this song. Still one of my faves. The video is pretty awesome as well.
Anja Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I love the lyrics of the song and what they mean (to me). I just began listening to Insomniac a little more cause for some reason I never listened to that album as much as to the other ones. Love this song
Kayfabe Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 YES! YES! YES! I was actually praying for this to be the song on Monday. Besides having a kick ass intro which is fun to play on guitar, one particular lyric strikes a chord with me: Green Day said: I'm not part of your eliteI'm just alrightI realise this is exactly how I feel about a so called friend who doesn't pay attention to me when her 'group' is there, but when they're away all of a sudden she doesn't want to be left alone. I'm not part of her elite (or group), I'm just alright, and this song actually helped me come to terms with that And I also like where it says "Well I know I'm not alright", because to me it's like saying to yourself 'No, I'm not just alright, I'm fucking great and I'm gonna go find some friends who understand that.' Vent over.I even imagined a little intro to the music video . It's of two guys sitting together at school, then one guy asks:"So you're buddies with that Evan kid?" And then the other one goes "Ah... he's alright."
mintfresh Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Good choice of song. Its one of those that allways sounds really fresh whenever I hear it.I love the way it just bounces along, and I love the bass in it as well, Mike at his best I would say!Would love to hear this at show once, I think Brain Stew/Jaded is overplayed! Really should get some more Insomniac action on tour... Its a shame that they seem to have forgot this album really. I mean, we seem to get more variation of songs from the very first albums, and then the same song each time from Insomniac.Anyway, great song!
Miss Hedgie Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Finally my fave song we get to talk about it! I really don't know why I love this Green Day song. Perhaps its the lyrics or just all of it. Fast beautiful stuff.

shoegazeloser Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 If the mistake in the studio wasn't made, and the title of "Stuck With Me" went to the actual, original Stuck With Me (Do Da Da), then what do you think that "I'm not part of your elite" would have been called?
