greendaytone Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 well, I wouldn't say im happy as such, but i won't despair over it. I'm happy to wait my turn Fair enough, the happy face threw me off! You seem like someone who would want to see Green Day!
elanorelle72 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 and because some of us who have never been to concert or never been to 20 in row...I have just been to one concert doesn't make us less important...all fans are importantI still am fans with so many artists that I have never been to any of their concerts yet....I have only been to Green Day once and it was the most spiritual time of my life...I feel no need to go to 20 in a row...i am very happy to people who have time and money to do that....they are very luckybut we infrequent goers are happy too....so if you haven't been to a concert yet...remember quality is important...not quantity
JohnnyNapalm Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 You're happy about that?ahaha... same question?im going to one in NZ on the 19th of december, 18th is sold out so im on my mission into finding a ticket to that one too. its gonna be an epic weekend! green day two nights in a row!!
-Billiejoezee- Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 this is all so sad. i was on the verge of not going, because the L.A ones were getting sold out so fast before my mom could go to the bank. but i got san diego ones, which are high. but im happy im still going.

JeanJeanie Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 We all know that a good chunk of the people here on GDC are going to the Green Day shows, but is anyone else on here joining me in the "not going" category? We didn't have the money to afford tickets. :down:Do like my friend when he's out of drug money and donate plasma; pays well and would be a great ice breaker for the people around you at the show.

tookum Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I have two GA tickets to the Las Vegas show on 8/21, but I can't go. I contacted artist arena to see if I could transfer the tickets to someone else, and they said I could write a letter with a copy of my ID, giving permission to whoever had possesion of the confirmation to use the tickets. They said it's up to the venue whether or not they will honor that. If anyone wants to take a chance on using these tickets, contact me at tookum@pacbell.net.I also believe I have extra tickets to the San Diego show on 8/20. I will know for sure within a day or so. I'm 99% sure I'll have at least 2 extra tickets. If you are interested, contact me at tookum@pacbell.net. I will be attending this show, so you'll just have to meet me at the venue.
elle1039 Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I know I can't be the only person on here who hasn't been to see them (even thought it feels that way sometimes lol).I'm interested to hear from others who haven't seen them and why they haven't.For me, it's a combination of financial (just not having the money at the time the tickets go on sale) and responsibilities (I have 2 kids, so I can't travel too far to see them)...I'd hoped to get to Glasgow on the 19th, but that didn't work out cuz I was totally broke when the ticketline opened. I've decided to put away money someplace so that the next time they come around, I'll definitely have the money!!! LoL
elle1039 Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Thanks for finding this Dai.. I did look for one but this place is MASSIVE!!!
davegrohllover Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 There are so many concerts going on outside the US. I'm thinking of flying to Italy to go see them but i doubt it. I miss them.
Harinezumi Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I've been a fan for such a short period of time that I haven't really had the chance to go to a gig yet. If they come anywhere near Finland (maybe next year?) then I'll definitely go, no matter what it takes.
SuperSock Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I haven't been able to go due to financial issues(same with you, I don't have the money when they come around) and my mom HATES Green Day, so she doesn't want me to go to one of their concerts. :'c
elle1039 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 A lot of people aren't allowed to go to gigs, or travel too far to them. I feel bad for them. I remember what that was like.
Valkin Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I've never seen em' Me and my friend Ash wanted to go this year but tickets were sold out in London and Birmingham, and on Ebay assholes were selling tickets like £80 each
American Basket Case Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Green Day has only performed in my hometown once - 5 years ago for the AI tour. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the tour at the time (too busy with a new job and applying to grad school). I'd love to see them for the 21CB tour, but I really doubt they'll perform here, and I don't really travel, so going to another city is out of the question. Plus, there's no one to go with me, and I have terrible anxiety issues (sorry if that's TMI, but it's the main reason). I've basically resigned myself to the fact that I'll probably never see them live.
elle1039 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I refuse to buy off ticket touts for 2 reasons. 1. I can't afford to pay their asking prices.2. If nobody bought off them, they'd stop doing it. It's supply & demand after all.
Spizz Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 sadly i have no moneyor people to go with meor plane tickets...
monkeyfish Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I was supposed to go to the Wembley arena show and the tube trains were shut down.  :verymad:
Michael128 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I kind of feel bad that so many people have never been able to see them and I saw them when I wasn't even a fan. (don't worry, I am now)
