gabbag Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 God I hope not, and I really cant see Green Day doing that either...
Mar Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Guys, it can be much worse. Kid Cudi is as good as hip-hop artists can get. Would you rather have Soulja Boy team up with Green Day or Kid Cudi team up with Green Day?Dude, this. I don't like hip-hop music normally, but I really enjoy Kid Cudi for some reason. Something this off the wall could actually be kind of cool!
champagne mami Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I think Green Day will be up to working with anyone, different genre or not. And, i do think Green Day will take the offer up, if Kid Cudi asks them.:]
Emmalee Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I'm not exactly a hip hop fan, but I'd agree with those that are saying they'd give it a chance I think it'd be pretty interesting to be honest, and I trust that Green Day would do a good job with it.
greendayfan_0491 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I doubt Green Day would actually do it. If they do I'd lose a lot of respect for them.
The Daughter of Rage and Love Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Does it really matter? They can work with whoever they want to. They're still Green Day, it's not like they're going to dedicate the rest of their music career to playing and recording rap/hip-hop.Even though, I just can't image them doing something in this genre. If anything, I think they'd work the instrumental and some back-up vocals. No biggy.
Emmalee Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Does it really matter? They can work with whoever they want to.That's what I thought!
emmaILGD! Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I don't think they will, but who knows, if this ends up happening it might work, or it might be a total distaster.
RobyRoom Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Oh, man, These Hip Hop guys seem to can't get enough of collaborations! Do an album on your own and don't piss off Green Day :verymad: !
shoegazeloser Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 At least Kid Cudi isn't as goofy and racist as Soulja Boy.
Astrid. Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Never heard of that man. But seeing his type of music I don't think he'll make a chance. But if you don't ask...
BIBARAGURORIA Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I don't care for his song "Day and Night," or whatever it's called. If Green Day want to work with him, that's their choice. Collaborations between hip-hop and rock artists have been done many times before, and not all of them are horrible. I don't think I've ever heard any of them myself, but I'm sure that some of them must be quite good.I don't think it'll happen, but who knows?
Atticus Finch Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Sounds interesting. I'm not too crazy about it but if it ends up happening oh well. I'm sure it won't be God awful.
