blc Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I was stood at the front left, Adrienne was stood to the side of me with the kids for a good portion of the gig, Jakob was not impressed with his dad calling him up lol it was so funny, Adrienne and Billie were laughing at the expression on Jakobs face which was purely 'please do not do this to me dad' haha.Billie tried to get Joey up to do the drums in Knowledge but he was having none of it, he escaped backstage and Jakob and friend could not get him out, Joey told Jakob to tell his dad he didn't feel well lol, Joey was not going to be embarrassed. Billie did seem really disappointed that Joey didn't want to go up on stage but you can't make the kids do what they don't want to lolThat was a great show, the night we got At the Library <3hahahahaa.even though they're dad is a superstar, nice to see to them, his still just their dad and they can argue with him like kids do!
Vrock09 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 hahaha that was amazing!!! thanks for the upload!
Nova-Caine Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Ha, I'm not the only one wondering about his sons' education Well it was half term in the Uk whilst GD were touring here so maybe it was mid term in the states too
koka kola Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Awww, cute... but this is why their kids will despise 'take your kids to work day'. Though poor Jakob, but it was pretty much Billie showing off his little one; I don't blame him, but bless.
♥Christian and Gloria♥ Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I kind of feel sorry for Billie's kids. For Joey it must be quite embarrassing to have your dad being bisexual and flashing crowds and yelling fuck and stuff. Just imagine your dad doing that wouldn't it be embarrassing?

Just imagine your dad doing that wouldn't it be embarrassing? All dads are embarrassing, that's their job!
Rosie May Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 yeah I never really understand how he said stuff like he wouldn't want his kids to hear something like "Christian's Inferno" but he doesn't seem to mind them going to shows and seeing him swear and strip and such?
Hermione Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 ^Not everyone thinks swearing is much of a big deal though, and any "stripping" is all done purely in good fun. All they're seeing is him being an entertainer and being a bit silly, I can't see it doing any harm.Whereas in a song like Christian's Inferno he's expressing some pretty dark feelings and ideas that are very personal. I can understand him being wary of his kids hearing that.
Isabel Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I think he said something along those lines in that Rolling Stone article in May/June.
heartscollide Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 All dads are embarrassing, that's their job!My dad isn't embarrassing...But my mum is.
Punx89 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 OOhhh that was really good!!!!Billie is a good father ...

I would find it embarassing. I always wonder, if their kids would randomly stumble across some dodgy videos on the internet just by chance. It must be weird having famous parents.
Hermione Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 ^Yeah, but I suppose that's what they're used to so it probably doesn't seem so weird. Not to mention the band seems so down to earth and grounded when they're not on stage. Even if it is a bit weird having famous parents I'd imagine it must be pretty cool too
Peace and Rainbows Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I love how he calls him a shithead. If my dad did that I would flipBut it is horribly cute

I'll remember that when I have children.
newsflash777 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 My friend and I were talking about how weird it would be that people your age are lusting for your dad.
Isabel Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I was going to say that they've grown up with that, but then realised that Billie Joe didn't seem to become a "heart-throb" to most people until the American Idiot era
Nova-Caine Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 For me it was When I come around vid that did it Of course I only like him in an artistic sense and respect him enormously!!!
Isabel Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I started to ahem, fancy the arse of him (for want(lack) of a better word) after I saw them live in 05. But it wasn't even about his looks. It was his stage presence. I was just totally blown away by his confidence and control. It just seemed to be a totally different Billie Joe from the Witness show in 2002.But sure now I've upgraded and I just love every little thing about him
Nova-Caine Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 He is a born entertainer Isabel, there is no getting away from his stage presence and charisma, we can all joke bout him being rather easy on the eye, but if he didn't have the talent he does, if he Mike and Tre were not the tight talented unit they are none of us would be here, they are amazing live, that is more attractive than anything to me x
Rosie May Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I wonder if they get attention from girls who only like them because they have crushes on their fathers? That would really mess with your head...

I can't even begin to imagine how to describe how I feel when he does the "Stand up!! This isn't fucking television!" routine during 21st CB.
