^Aaw poor Jakob :P So you could see him at his spot during the show?

No i think he was stood on the side opposite for the show. I saw him walk past twice before the show began. First i think he was walking away from the curtain and then he came back with a big security guy and i was like 'Humm that kid looks a lot like Jacob', but i didn't want to stare because either way it was a kid and it would have been creepy if i was watching him walk through. I accidentally filmed when Billie brought him on stage. I didn't realize my phone was still on from the previous song, but thankfully you can only see the palm of my hand and you can hear Billie talking. I would have felt bad if i had filmed the stage at that part.

I was there, and it was a great night. I didn't take any photos though as y'know, it didn't seem right to. I know that Billie was the one who took his son out there in front of the arena, and you're going to get people recording/taking photos, but I still think it was a little iffy if people did.

Yer, I'd feel a bit ashamed of myself if I started taking pictures of their kids on stage. :/

Thats exactly what I thought and why I didn't take any pictures of him. I would have felt soo wrong if I had.

I was stood at the front left, Adrienne was stood to the side of me with the kids for a good portion of the gig, Jakob was not impressed with his dad calling him up lol it was so funny, Adrienne and Billie were laughing at the expression on Jakobs face which was purely 'please do not do this to me dad' haha.

Billie tried to get Joey up to do the drums in Knowledge but he was having none of it, he escaped backstage and Jakob and friend could not get him out, Joey told Jakob to tell his dad he didn't feel well lol, Joey was not going to be embarrassed. Billie did seem really disappointed that Joey didn't want to go up on stage but you can't make the kids do what they don't want to lol

That was a great show, the night we got At the Library <3

really? :woot: I think they should have talked about it already at home. their dad must understand their feeling! it sounds so wired to me.

He's probably hoping Billie Joe doesn't embarass him!!

I found this on youtube and thought it was funny. Billie-Joe tells a story about Adrienne, and him.

I'm sorry I can't watch this. what did he say? that old fighting thing?

It's a story about him and Adrienne having this fight during making the last record. He and his friend Brando got to this bar, and he goes out to take a phone call from Adrienne. So he's stading on Sunset Blvd. and some guy drives past and shouts 'Green Day fucking sucks' The car stops and BJ dives into the back seat and beats this shit outta the guy. Then he goes back into the bar, and does some shots before realising he's still on the phone to Adrienne and they make up. The way he tells it is really funny and cute!

I'd feel no worse taking a photo while Billie's kid was on stage than I would if any other kid was on stage. Those kids don't ask for people to take their photos either. Billie's kids are of no more interest to me than any random kid, so why not take a photo of an enjoyable part of the show? Might as well have covered your eyes with your hands while he was up there while you're at it!

^Yeah, besides bringing Jakob on stage was kind of a permission for the audience to take photos of him. I'm not saying Billie wants his son to be photographed by Green Day fans but he obviously doesn't care. If he did, he wouldn't have brought him on stage, in my opinion.

^Plus it's not like zooming in and taking a photo of his son, it's just taking a photo of the cool moment when Billie saves a child. When someone takes a photo of a random child being saved it's not because they want to look at a photo of the random child , it's to remember that fun part of the show. I see no difference.

But yeah, thanks for that info Jax it amused me

Adorable! I was wondering whether the whole family would come on the tour, shouldn't those kids be in school  That is a really wonderful video though, thanks for sharing.

LOL I was thinking the same thing when i saw the vid 'um, don't they have school"!!

Ha, I'm not the only one wondering about his sons' education :P

If i was Billie's kid i would be like "hell ya i wanna go up". That would be so awesome to be up there in front of so many ppl with all that music and cheering. But he is just a kid i guess eh. ALSO lmao, i would be pretty embarrassed to if my dad called me back up for a kiss in front of all those ppl!! That was to cute

That's such a cute story, thanks for sharing. :D

To us it's insane to not want to go on stage with Billie Joe, but - to them he's just dad, and he's a dork who won't leave them alone.

Yeah, I agree (being one of those that actually got a photo of it). I took pictures of every part of the show because I wanted to remember everything that happened due to it being one of the best nights of my life. East Jesus Nowhere being one of my favourites, was no exception. :)

Hhhmmm, I understand your point.

I dunno, to me it's different. Because with Jakob, you can tell by his expression that it was almost a chore to get up there and be saved. He isn't like the other kids who are absolutely star struck and stifling giggles when they're up there on stage. I always tried to get a picture of them in case their parents maybe ever come looking for one, because I can imagine it being such a huge moment in a child's life. Although he seemed to be egging Jakob on a bit, I just don't see Billie Joe's kids as having any relevance to the band, therefore, why would I bother taking a picture of them?

If you thought he looked nervous, then yeah that would be a good reason not to take a photo. But that would apply to any child who looked nervous, the fact it's Billie's child doesn't have to have anything to do with that.

Like I said, the reason for taking a photo would be because Billie saving someone on stage is one of many enjoyable parts of the show that you might like to take a photo of. If I was there at the time and felt the child was uncomfortable I wouldn't take a photo either - my only point is the fact it's Billie's child would make no difference to whether I did it or not, because if he genuinely hated it that much he wouldn't have been up there.

Obviously nothing wrong with not taking a photo! I just don't think anyone who did should feel bad for snapping a memorable and fun part of the show.
