Their managers don't pressure them like that. They know how private they are and give them as much room as they want. I knew their label had saved the name, so, I figured they probably told them about it and if the guys were interested in doing it, they said "Ok show me how it works".

I'm sure Billie Joe had the capability of tweeting all along, he's just never been into online communication as we all know.Personally, I think that last comment attributed to Billie sounds more like Tre wrote it and signed as Billie! I am encouraged that we are seeing this kind of communication at all, of course! It's fun to see "real time" comments/updates. Like someone said, though - it may lose its novelty after awhile for them and go back to being newsy and stuff from management and the record company like the News Page of greenday.com.
