It's mean as a simple way for people to post their thoughts. I liked Mark Hoppus' description best "It's like text messaging the world"

When the guys at Warner told us they had the @greenday account, they did say it was only updates until the band wanted to use it. Secondly, I think it's funny that people believe Billie is a complete technology idiot. He's said before that he got into editing videos on the computer, and we know he uses email with some level of competency. Though, I do enjoy mocking them for a total lack of online persona, which is ok for the sake of GDA.I'm always mocking of Billie because of an interview, around '05, where he said that he had finally bought his first computer xD And I can't picture BJ with a computer, it's like... It's like Tré being serious for a whole day xD

I believe any time Twitter or the like is mentioned he acts like a grumpy old man and slags it off, not to mention rants against it at Green Day shows! So this is rather odd

I think it's people's dependancy on these sort of things that get to himAnd yeah, i'm sure he knows the basics of working a computer. I'm sure he has an iPod and i'm sure he can put music on there all by himself XD
