tvrman Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Does dietrologia exist in english??!I've looked in the dictionary but i wasn't able to find a proper translation from italian... I do not think so. Arrivederci !
RobyRoom Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Well I'll go a little random but i think it's worthy, i don't like to be misunderstood, my english pretty much sucks already .... :/ This is the meaning of dietrologia: to search for ulterior motives behind (specially political) eventsto hypothesize ulterior motives. If you still don't have a clue, read De Lillo
The Disappearing Boy Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 is it me or does at the end, tre's drumming not match the audio?it looks like they are out by a split second or so.
Sanity Loan Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 is it me or does at the end, tre's drumming not match the audio?it looks like they are out by a split second or so.The whole video is like that from some reason. But who cares? The awesomeness makes up for it!!

But who cares? The awesomeness makes up for it!!I never noticed it on my TV, but I can look later.Check whether the lip-sync is perfect as well. If it is not then there may be a sound sync problem rather than the video itself. That can be corrected either by using a different source, or by passing through an amp/receiver that allows sync adjustment. I have to do this for some HD programs, ie they are perfect when sound is through my Denon AVR, but slightly out when sound is through the TV.tvrman
cherylr Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 IS there a point in the album where gloria gets pregnant? Ive been looking to see if I could find any clues but nothingJust my opinion... but the first part of the song is about Billie's generation (born into Nixon, ...), then it goes into "we are the class of '13". That would be the generation of Billie's son. The new generation. In the video, that's where Gloria has a baby. Then the baby turns into a boy and gets pulled into the TV. That's Billie's disgust at the new generation getting bombarded with crap messages. And i agree wholeheartedly with him. I have a kid in the class of '12, and I can't stand the crap she's bombarded with. The video is biographical for billie, and having a baby that's part of the class of '13 is part of his biography.
Jacob. Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 this video premiered on the bands myspace in the U.S.
HoneyDo666 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Yep, #3 video on iTunes and GD has 3 videos in the Alternative top 10, 21CB is #1 there! The album is doing pretty well on the European chart too thanks to the tour (#35)!
tvrman Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Now also on Kerrang's website (who also confirm 21st December UK single release date). Good to see this video everywhere, I guess GD have next year's VMA best rock video award covered already.tvrman
Bastard of 1967 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 So I think I have started a new bedtime ritual I keep watching it on my Ipod right before I go to sleep, it is fantasticSeeing that part with Billie's zombie-like head spinning right before I go to sleep would probably give me nightmares.IS there a point in the album where gloria gets pregnant? Ive been looking to see if I could find any clues but nothingNo - this is a gloss that Marc Webb added to the video, but it fits perfectly and helps the rest of the song (and hell, the album) make a lot more sense.
Bastard of 1967 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Okay so I have the video and must say, I LOVE IT! Watched it 14 times today, 18 times yesterday. I'm a bit of a graphic artist, so this sorta stuff makes me go ape-shit to learn how to do it. However as far as Warner is concerned, I think they didn't release it in the United States because of fear. Fear to shake things up, I mean if you think about it, with the current state of the economy, the only want to release things in places they know are a safe bet. And since 21CB is controversial, then it probably would get a mixed reception, ergo, no video in the states.Prediction: they're eventually going to officially release it here. They did everything they could to keep the video from getting out of the bag over here (epic fail, mind you!) and still watched it go to the #3 most-purchased video on US iTunes in ONE. FUCKING. DAY. I think this thing has got a hell of a lot more lift here (both the song and the video) than Warner-US's marketing geniuses thought it did.....so my guess is that they're finally waking up to what it really can do for them (read: how much $$ they can make off of it). First "everyone but the US"...then "OK, the video got out and everybody wants it, so if you want it badly enough then go pay $2 for it on iTunes". Today, it's streaming on the band's MySpace page. All that's left to do here now is release the song for radio airplay.
tvrman Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I live in a strange country, working from home today with a mix of VH1, Kerrang & Scuzz coming over the air and I have heard so many GD songs, but only 21CB on VH1. Damn distracting working from home. :D tvrman

Library Girl Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I really love the video - the whole design is amazing. But I don't like the ending quiet a lot  , I don't know. It's not fitting quite to the first part and for my opinion Mike and Trea are zooming in and out way to fast. Nevertheless it's an aweseome video and the whole meanings of the lyrics have been transcribed perfectly! GREAT VIDEO!
Mistress.Kate Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Has anyone seen 21stCB on TV yet? I don't know what to think: if the video is out it should be on tv, right??! it's not on MTV, not on MTV HITS, not MTV brand new, not on vh1 well nowhere :verymad: But maybe in your country it's different... Hope for you
Emjay Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 That's Richard Nixon, the former president. He's mentioned in the song; "Born into Nixon, I was raised in hell."I feel really stupid now. XDthx for answering I didn't see it on tv yet, i hope it will be soon..that'll change a bit of all the usual shit

What else can i do? :/ :thanks: for replying!
