RobyRoom Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Yeah, i know. But asking GDA to take off the new video of its page! There's no way that could make us happy, as if they don't know that. Do they expect us to act like nothing'd happened? Oh, and then maybe we can kiss their feet, right? I can't believe WMG didn't think that any GD fan wouldn't rise up about it. So calling them MAFIA shouldn't really upset them and if it did, i don't actually give a damn. Let us have Green Day videos on Youtube and on GDA page and i'll shut up, but if you don't let us, then you should expect us to say something about it. Period. ... MAFIA, MAFIA, MAFIA, [*put the insult of your preference here*] they can come and kiss my ass if they don't like it, i dare them to. My comment was ironic. You should take a look at my previous posts (even in other threads)). It's ages that i'm saying that Warner is messing up with Green Day: With the album, the singles and now with the videos too.I've never kissed Warner ass. And I'll never do. Peace.

I was just too pissed off about the subject that i needed an ironic comment to release my rage about it, didn't mean to offend you, sorry if i did. :/

This is a great album and this fucking record company is doing its best to dig it.
Smoothed Out Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I saw the premier on UK tv today, looks even better on the big screen!
Laura! Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 ^^ If it's being played in the UK I wonder if it'll get played in the US too.
valentinesandcigs Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 god watching this video makes me miss billies highlights

This is a great album and this fucking record company is doing its best to dig it.All good then unfortunately, Warner is really good at what it's doing. But it's impossible for them to ever get Green Day down in the gutter, never gonna happen, no matter how much i hate Warner, tho. But, we can dig Warner instead, right? :devil:Hey, about 21st century breakdown again, i read you guys said about some bill getting into the law or something. At the part when the two politicians start kissing in the video, i don't really get it. Could you interpret is as "peace"? You know, they're arguing, in war. And then, all of a sudden they start making out. And also, it's the part of the song that leads to "Oh dream, America dream..." like, dreaming of peace between countries or sth, just a thought, tho. If you know the real meaning, please let me know
dolce Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Okay, random question - at the part in the video where you are looking down the spiral staircase - could anyone tell who actually threw the bouquet. I've paused it several times and it truly doesn't look like Billie to me. It's driving me crazy! As for Warner - they're a business. Yes, it sucks that they asked GDA to take down the video, which then lead to a lot of people not being able to access it at all. It's foolish to me because it seems like that would only keep the video hidden from the spotlight and hurt the band more than help them. However - Warner is doing exactly what they should be - running their business in the way THEY think is best. Does it seem logical to me? No, but I'm not a businesswoman. I have no idea how these things work. At the end of the day I just want what is best for the guys, and I have to at least try and trust that Warner feels the same. Do I honestly think they do? No, but the guys know what they're doing. If they felt they were getting the short of the stick somewhere I know they would take matters into their own hands.
Soroush Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I wish the parts that they're performing on top of that tower were more.it would be much greater in that case

Seems like Tré to me, because of his haircut, but flowers cover up all of the scene. Then magically that "man" turns into Green Day playing in the spiral staircase, but it is ceirtanly not Billie, tho. That's all i can tell :/
The Disappearing Boy Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 does anyone know where the reooftop bit at the end is? im guessing it is oakland or SF, but what building?
Jason Alvarez Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I think that the part where they are on the rooftop was green-screened because lookie here:
Sarahnade. Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I wish the parts that they're performing on top of that tower were more.it would be much greater in that caseSee, I wish the opposite, haha. I think the ending just sort of threw it off. I mean, I like how it went back to reality, but, then again, I think the ending could've been more epic if it didn't look so awkward and unnatural. I can't really explain it; I just thought it was kind of weird. :/
Sarahnade. Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I think that the part where they are on the rooftop was green-screened because lookie here:http://www.greendayauthority.com/images/21cbvideo_0916_1.jpgWell, they were performing the entire video. I think the green screen was only used for the cartoon-y parts because there were pictures of them up on a rooftop that were released along with that photo.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 ^yep, thatdoes anyone know where the reooftop bit at the end is? im guessing it is oakland or SF, but what building?I thought it was in LA, but I'm not sure.....no idea what building
shoegazeloser Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I LOVED IT. Better than KYE and 21 Guns, obviously. And it was released a couple of days before my birthday, so it's almost like a gift.
dolce Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I loved the end part when it went back to reality. Every time I watch there's just something very striking about seeing real-life Billie after you've just watched this epic, crazy, chaotic video. The calmness of the end is great contrast to the rest of the video.
Sarahnade. Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I thought it was in LA, but I'm not sure.....no idea what building Yeah, I think it was LA too. I don't know what building either. Whatever building it is, it has a helluva gorgeous view.
Katarina. Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 does anyone know where the reooftop bit at the end is? im guessing it is oakland or SF, but what building?I thought it was in LA. No idea what building though. It does have a very nice view!
Brian Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Yeah, I think it was LA too. I don't know what building either. Whatever building it is, it has a helluva gorgeous view.I know right?
Sarahnade. Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Yeah, this is definetly the best video they've done, imo.I know right?Indeed! I wish my bum-bum was up there with 'em!
