woven_basketcase Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I really liked the video. I really disliked the song before, but i kinda like it now. The effects in the video were great.
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 It's such as shame they're doing that stupid release thing and making hard for one of their biggest markets to see one of their best videos. It's so much better than KYE and pretty much every other video they've ever done.
dolce Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Yeah, I'm crying. That was a stunning music video. I applaud Marc Webb for doing an amazing job, because it was just perfect. I loved the green screen because it was so different, not only from other GD videos but just from a lot of the videos currently out. And the story... oh my god. Class of 13 = Christian and Gloria's child. I never put two and two together, but it makes so much sense after seeing the video. And, as someone else said (Bullet, I believe), it makes sense why Song of the Century is like a lullaby. You know a music video is good when it gives you a better understanding of the entire CD. It was incredible. And, Billie Joe, you are a lyrical genius. Seriously.
rinu Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I'd love to see it in Tv but there's nothin about it on Mtv tr so I can only watch online. For now.
Sara. Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I'd love to see it in Tv but there's nothin about it on Mtv tr so I can only watch online. For now.it would be really awesome to see it on tv nice sig btw
Rebel07 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 seeing the video as soon as i woke up was a great way to start my day i like the video a lot, its definatly different. that song always makes me think of incredible memories
HoneyDo666 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Yeah, it's so epic, that a TV is the best way to view it!I can't wait to see it on TV, is it premiering in the States tonight? It would be really nice if it would
parinaz Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I have loved all the videos off the album but this one blew me away!Oh my GOD it's great! So visionary! And why would they fix Billie's teeth, they make him unique.they fixed his teeth? i never understood
HoneyDo666 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 they fixed his teeth? i never understood No, they didn't but someone earlier was wondering why they didn't. I love his snaggle teeth personally.
¡VivaLaAndrea! Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I am in complete awe.Hands down, the most incredible music video I've ever seen. It's unrealistically perfect.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Yip! Maybe that explains Mindfuck #2?Mindfuck #2 isn't a mindfuck, you can see Tre's arm under the cymbal (that's how those things are called, right?). If that was the mindfuck in it.
dolce Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I can't wait to be able to record it on my TV and just watch it over and over and over... I have to watch it a few more times. The more I keep thinking about it, the more I fucking love it. I loved it upon first impression, but its one that makes you think, and now I love it even more! The end was BEAUTIFUL, and AWESOME with the politicians kissing. I loved how the whole time the video was moving at such a quick pace. It was mass hysteria (teehee)! You know, I always felt that Song of the Century was more than just an "opening", but I could never quite peg it's significance in the album. I thought maybe it was from Billie's perspective, or from Christian and Gloria's saying how Green Day is singing the song of the century, so to speak. Now I think it's their child asking to hear about their "journey" that they go through throughout the album. It was just PERFECT! Hands down the best Green Day video ever made.Shit. I keep getting more and more excited by the minute! That was so worth the wait (all EIGHT hours of it last night, lol).
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 My firm has a proxy server in London. Have fun y'all! parinaz Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 do you think the whole concept was from the band? or the director? cause bobd was completely from Bayer's mind. and i loved that more if it was band's idea.
dolce Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 do you think the whole concept was from the band? or the director? cause bobd was completely from Bayer's mind. and i loved that more if it was band's idea.Well, the video followed Billie's lyrics entirely, and pretty much just put his thoughts into pictures. Maybe the "look" of the video was Webb's idea (surely it was), but the concept was the same concept of the album.
parinaz Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 It deserves as many as BOBD got.THIS.Well, the video followed Billie's lyrics entirely, and pretty much just put his thoughts into pictures. Maybe the "look" of the video was Webb's idea (surely it was), but the concept was the same concept of the album.I mean could "throwing the baby" or "politicians kissing" be their own idea?. very details...
¡VivaLaAndrea! Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Seriously, if this video doesn't get nominated for and win every music video award it's eligible for, I'll start a riot.I don't even care if it's eligible. It's the best hip hop video even, just because it beats everything.<_<Or something.
parinaz Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Seriously, if this video doesn't get nominated for and win every music video award it's eligible for, I'll start a riot.I don't even care if it's eligible. It's the best hip hop video even, just because it beats everything.<_<Or something.but can they get nominated for VMA 2010?
Dookie93 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I thought this was a good video, Gloria got knocked up! Love it
dolce Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 but can they get nominated for VMA 2010? I think so.
parinaz Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I think so.after nearly 9 months? it's good then.
¡VivaLaAndrea! Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 but can they get nominated for VMA 2010? I think so.I don't really know how nominations work, but I don't think it has as much to do with the specific year as it seems like it would. I think it's more about when a video was released. But it seems like if a video had to be nominated in the year the award shows went on, no award shows would happen until the end of the year and no new videos would be released until January of (insert year here). And if that's not the case, they need to re-write the rules so that this video can win everything.
Mari91 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 but can they get nominated for VMA 2010? i think so. but the Grammys are more important
