Epyon Custom Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Well, I wouldn't say Green Day is dead, but I think they're dying. 21st Century Breakdown is solid, but it's basically a scrap book of previous Green Day albums, as well as some classic rock albums. So I'm guessing Green Day doesn't really have anything left in the musical basement.But in their defense, Green Day has never made a bad album, so I hope they prove me wrong once again.

I don't mind Blink 182, I don't love them but will listen to some of their stuff. I agree they are more like NOFX than Green Day. I prefer NOFX over Blink 182. I haven't heard much MCR, I don't watch music TV or listen to the radio. My Daughter listens to Good Charlotte and they are mostly rubbish! Luckily she is not into Jonahs brothers and we don't have the Disney Channel.

If you really want to appreciate a bands music for what it is; you have to listen with no prerequisites or expectations. Yeah, some bands have some songs that sound similar to one another. But literally comparing them is just silly and nit-picky. I can imagine tween comparing Jonahs brothers to them just because they are both bands that play instuments. If they were all the same then what would be the point of them existing? I hate comparing "old Green Day" to "new Green Day" They're the same band, dammit!

They're immature and annoying. Yes, Green Day can be immature at times, but Blink is just ridiculous. And then there's old and new Green Day. If you don't like either, shut the fuck up and just don't listen to it. It pisses me off so much when I hear people complain about the "new " Green Day.
