A comparison it's possible only if the bands make the same kind of music, and this is not the case.

There is nothing in JB that reminds me of GD, not the music, not the look and not the sexual or dinking habits :lol:

i hate it when green day are compared to ANY band........cause there IS no freaking band who would even be just a little close to their awesomeness =)

but there are good bands just no bands as AMAZING as green day :wub:

Every pop punk band, and My Chemical Romance.

I'd say tokio hotel and jonas brothers too, but I don't really consider them as bands.

I must say I like My Chemical Romance, but you can't compare them with Green Day, they're just different styles. Many people when you say "Green Day" they think: oh yes, green day, mcr, blink 182, sum 41... and that's what I don't like. But I kinda like those bands, especially mcr.

Does that make sense?

when good charlotte released their single the river (im cringing already), yahoo news had a link with their video clip for the song and the title of the link was "Good charlotte, the new Green day?"

It went on to say who the song was similar to BOBD... it was a shameful moment... also the fact that in that video clip (i think), one of the members of good charlotte has an NIN sticker on his guitar... furthered my dislike towards anything good charlotte that isn't their first 2 albums...

I kind of pisses me off how often they are compared with U2. I have nothing against U2 but sometimes its annoying how Green Day are always being compared with them.

For example: "During the show the band focused on tracks from their three biggest albums: their 1994 major label debut, 'Dookie', and their last two albums, the rock opera 'American Idiot' and this year's '21st Century Breakdown'. They've recorded with U2."

"The more recent material made excellent use of the spectacularly sophisticated backdrop, worthy of bands like U2 and Radiohead..."

^I especially dislike how they use "worthy".

"Over the course of two and a half hours, the true star of the show was Billie Joe -- Green Day's very own peroxide-decorated Bono. He's small, he's funny looking, but he's also one cool son of a gun."

There's more but I'm not going to go find it.

It just kind of bugs me..

I really don't understand how people can compare Green Day to The Jonas Brothers..... :huh:

Everytime I see that advertisement "Green Day vs. The Jonas Brothers" online, I want to punch my computer screen...
