Story of my damn life. I will probably be pulling my first all-nighter of my college career thanks to the AMAs, my penchant for procrastination and my inability to work quickly on stuff! Cool! It's so funny to watch Tre. He just looks around like a little kid and makes weird faces. The usual. My mom said the same thing when watching their performance, she's like "yeah, Tre's always got an amusing expression on his face"

Tubbie Head Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I finally watched Green Day's performance and I can't see that they were flat or tired or not as good as other times (like some comments I've read here). I think they were great. They performed the song with feeling and emotion. 21 Guns is not a raucous rock song, it's a ballad and they performed it perfectly well. They all looked great and Billie sounded lovely as always. Great to see them up there yep, I agree with you, I'm sure if they had played KYE or East Jesus Nowhere people wouldn't say a thing.. ohhh I'm loving the pics!! They look so natural Aw. I am actually pretty worried that they will over-exhaust their wonderful selves and then have hardly any energy left. Then again I know Green Day would never disappoint their fans.Don't be too worried, I'm sure I would be exausted if I had their lives, They just came back home from the European Tour, of course they are tired!! They haven't had time to stop for a while, so, don't worry, they'll be amazing as always in the Australian tour! Mar Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I do think they looked a lot livelier than they did at the EMAs (although that may have been due to the obvious drunkenness ), and honestly, I think Joey being there cheered Billie up a bit, he just looked a lot happier to accept the award tonight when he was there to congratulate him versus the EMAs.So, maybe they weren't tired, idk. Maybe we'll find out tomorrow for the free concert!

It's a ballad, it have to be a bit raucous and reflective.

If they played 21CB or KYE or EJN I bet they would have been really energetic. I am quiet tired on the other hand after staying up to watch there performance and the 2 hours of rubbish before it.

Jesus*Of*Suburbia Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 As always I enjoyed the preformance they gave, I too was dissapointed they left it till the end but it was worth it. I must admit though from the moment Billie started to sing I thought, is he drunk? He must be drunk, his eyes were glossy, he was very sweaty, he couldn't even keep the one eye open through most of it and he seemed shaky. I didn't think it overly made a difference though because it still sounded fantastic even though his voice appeared to be deeper then usual. I must admit though towards the end, during that one high note that he just didn't hit properly my fiance and I just erupted with laughter, even when he screws it up he's adorable. I love Billie and I'm glad they won. So they had an off night, every preformance won't be perfect.Oh and can I just say how happy I am he dyed his hair back? lol The blond just doesn't work for him anymore the way it did when he was younger. IMO.
