frankiessister Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 OK, so I'm back.I went to sleep at 5a.m. and had to get up at 7.15, so after roughly 2 hours of sleep I'm not in good shape this morning.And I'm pissed, too, cause I went through 2 hours of Red Carpet without getting the slightest glimpse of Green Day plus 3 hours of an awards show that I basically hated. Long, tedious, full of shitty music and even shittier performances. I don't like R&B, HipHop, Country music or the kind of insignificant pop music we've got to see.Nowadays, it seems like everything is about "performance", which basically means as little clothing as possible and lots of ass shaking; most people don't seem to care about the actual music.I have to admit that Lady Gaga's voice surprised me; much better than I had expected. But I didn't like the performance at all, she tries just a little bit too hard to be special and for me, that's not a nice thing to watch. And I feel no need at all to see her ass; if anyone's, let it be Billie's.Adam Lambert's performance was just painful, and so was the rest of the performances for me for one simple reason: I don't like the music.Which brings me to Green Day. I went through all this shit just to see them. They were the only show act who played real music. And I actually don't think it was a good performance. Billie fucked the vocals up. Period. 21 Guns is pretty difficult to sing live, so maybe they should have chosen another song, but then again, Billie has done much better in the past.I don't think he looked exhausted -he actually looked pretty fine to me- , but his voice is completely strained after all the touring, which is only natural.No matter what the reasons, he sounded quite bad. But still Green Day's performance was the only one that was worth the hype.Wow, that was quite a rant! So sorry, but I needed this for my peace of mind.On a lighter note: When looking at the pic of Billie and Joey I thought 'Hey, Joey is wearing Billie's jacket!' Doesn't that seem the exact same one that Billie was wearing during AI period???

Which means brilliant.billie joe was out of tune, the sound quality was bad (although that wasn't necessarily their fault), and they just seemed to lack a bit of spark. ive seen them do a lot lot better.
