Billie looked really into it tonight, almost to the point where I thought he was going to cry. 21 guns is always a bad song choice live and on the tour it never surprised me how Billie let the audience sing all the high parts but nevertheless I thought that was a really raw and vulnerable performance.&& I loved it

I mean, at the end of the day it's all about perspective. So i can't tell you you are wrong. But I think there was so many things wrong with Billies Voice (him missing notes, his vocals sounding off) - that it was obvious.did he miss the notes?

I felt it was so raw and with such honesty and vulnerability.Sad to see people complaining as usual but I'm used to it with Green Day fans..Anyways, I didn't get a chance to watch the red carpet or anything.. Did anyone record it?! Do you guys think it's worth watching E!News for it?(They show yesterday's one over here today)and is there a video of their acceptance speech or anything?! (Sorry I'm just being lazy, not wanting to scroll through all the pages)Was there any other glimpses of them there??I'm so proud of my boys! and they looked spiffy as usual. ^.^Edit: Everyone's comments about Billie Joe are freaking me out. Maybe you fail to notice how much he puts into his live shows and he's just got off tour and is still working and stuff. He's fucking exhausted. I mean, to me it just looks like an average, mellowed out Awards Show performance. 21 Guns is difficult to make "entertaining" so to speak, it's not like they were doing East Jesus Nowhere or Know Your Enemy. (Although I would have preferred either of them, given the fact that his falsetto during 21 Guns is consistently shaky when sung live :/ )Whether anyone disagrees with it or not, he is definitely off key a bit. But it actually sounds like as if he has a cold or something and looks a bit out of sorts, so maybe that's why?

If I were in their shoes, after having done what they've done the past 8 months, I would be fucking tired and not a fun person to be around at the AMA's. It was all a lot of bullshit, and I had to mute it more times then when I actually was interested.Lady Gaga's performance was brilliant, but I was a little worried her costume was going to show us something we did not want to see. Gaga and Green Day totally saved the show, imo.

They were just perfect.hmmm..thanks for this interpretation...I've been thinking about and the song itself when I saw it sung by Whatsername to Johnny in the Musical I found it to be this sort of desperateness...I had to think back and remember and watch it again ...maybe I was wrong in thinking of them just being exhausted...

I actually liked it! Not so much the music but the performance... Let's face it, if Brittney Spears(or any other female) did the exact same moves - it would be hailed as her full on comeback!Thought it was lame that the camera would quickly pan away.. They wouldn't do that if it weren't for the fact he's a he..Anyways I thought it was brave and cool. So since it doesn't seem that there's a video of the acceptance speech, I was wondering if someone could give me the jist of what they said?!
