Day of first Green Day concert: April 25th, 2005

Reaction to first seeing the band for the first time: I couldn't believe it. I was really young at the time, and I only really knew songs from American Idiot and Warning, so it was hard to sing along and get into it. But nonetheless, I had the time of my llife. I remember watching Billie Joe come onstage and freaking out.

Pit or seating? Experience with? I had seats that were to the left of the stage, and they were right next to it. I remember my brother freaking out when Billie supposedly mouthed "Thank you" to him.

Second concert: July 25th, 2009

Reactions to seeing the band live again, better experience than the first? Oh my gosh, yes! At the time, I knew all the albums and most of the lyrics. So being able to sing along made it so much better. Plus, seeing my hero onstage after so long was awesome.

Pit or seating? Experience with? Seating. I was too lazy to deal with waiting in line for a good area in the pit, so we got seats, but I still had an amazing time. Hopfully if they come back to the U.S. in 2010, you can bet that I'm going to be in the pit :D

Hope this helps.

Day of first Green Day concert: 7/14/09

Reaction to first seeing the band for the first time: I was blown away. I knew the guys put on a good show, but I never would have imagined that I would've had that much fun, even with my awful seats! I don't normally go crazy, singing/dancing/screaming at concerts, but I was so into it! The set list was amazing, and they did my favorite song (Macy's Day Parade)!

Pit or seating? Experience with? I went alone, and I was literally in the second to last row of the Palace (in Auburn Hills/Detroit, MI), but I still had a blast!

Second concert: Not yet...hopefully I'll see them multiple times next year! :)

Day of first Green Day concert: July 24th, 2009

Reaction to first seeing the band for the first time: It was the greatest thing to finally see them after waiting for 5 years. It was an excitement that was so great your body went numb from. You couldn't remember who you were or anything except the lyrics.

Pit or seating? Experience with? Pit! First Green Day concert and concert I ever went too and I got a great experience! Seeing them so close, it was unbelievable seeing Billie and Mike's tattoos close up and seeing them not being posters and right in front of you and have them look at you. :D It definitely was the absolute greatest day of my life especially since beforehand I got soundcheck, It was the first longest concert with the rarest songs at the time <3 . I was there from 6am... woke up at 4am but still AMAZING! I can't wait to see them again in 2010!!

at both shows I felt like I belonged, that I was with my own kind and I could be myself. I have learned from past experiences that Green Day and Green Day fans are some of the best people in the world.

I felt the same way. I also felt like Green Day fans were the most polite/considerate fans I've come across while at a concert. At least, that's how everyone where I was. No one was extremely rude and that's how it normally is at concerts I go to for some reason. It was nice that people were actually nice to each other. Green Day fans are good people.

Day of first Green Day concert: 6/26/2001

Reaction to first seeing the band for the first time: Well, I was so excited to be seeing them for the first time after being a fan for 7 years, we got there about 9 AM and sat in the sun, so we ended up with sun posioning. I also just happened to walk by Tre and didn't realize it was him till a second later. When I turned around, some teenies already started pesting him. It was just so amazing to be so close to the guys I've loved since I was 11.

Pit or seating? Experience with? Well, the whole venue was GA. So we were in the pit for half the time. We had to go to seats the other half, because my friend is diabetic, and she started to feel like she was going to pass out.

Second concert:

Reactions to seeing the band live again, better experience than the first? I was in the pit, the concert experience was better. It was Pop Disaster. Green Day rocked out, then we went up in the stands and left about 10 minutes into blink 182's set.

Pit or seating? Experience with? Pit.

Every concert I go to gets better. I get to meet the band, or I meet more and more amazing Green Day fans and have a blast.

Pittsburgh was pretty fucking rude....figures Billy lives near there.

My friend almost got into a fight outside about welfare, and instead I was against the gate and I got kicked in the head and punched and ugh....Philly fans are so much better.
