The Daughter of Rage and Love Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 I heard "She" on Sirius once. The rarest song here would be American Idiot or JOS (which they've never played here). I hear about every other single from that album except for the damn title song!
Jaymee!! Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 I dunno about rare ones, because the radio hardly plays Green Day at all anymore, but the most commonly played ones here (that I know of) are:BrainstewGood Riddance
buttcrackzachhhh Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Rarest song I heard on the radio was FOD.It was a few years ago back when I would occasionally listen to the radio in the car. This was right around the time that American Idiot had just started to die out, and after the song ended the DJ said something like "That was a song from Green Day, a band you can't really call punk anymore."And I was like "Hey jerk!!... You couldn't call them punk to begin with, god damn it!"hahah
Adrii1039 Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 the only songs i've heard on the radio are:When I Come AroundSheBasket Case21 GunsBoulevard of Broken DreamsBrain StewGood Riddanceand I think that's it.
wilhelm-fink Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 i know that its not technically a 'green day' song, but i hear Mother Mary every saturday at work.we listen to 94.5
Mar Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 i know that its not technically a 'green day' song, but i hear Mother Mary every saturday at work.we listen to 94.5That is awesome! I did hear MM a few times back in November/December 2007, but not recently!
wilhelm-fink Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 That is awesome! I did hear MM a few times back in November/December 2007, but not recently!hell yes!, i love it when he plays it. i dance around the store (i work in a costume store, so sometimes i put on like feather boas and huge sunnies to get into the spirit!)
Penguin Puffball Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I could've sworn I heard J.A.R. once upon a time. You know which song of theirs I would love to hear on the radio? The Grouch. Too bad they either wouldn't play it or they'd fuck it up with all the censoring shit nowadays.I've actually never heard Minority on the radio.
Katarina. Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Uhm.. I hardly ever listen to the radio, and when I do, I almost never hear a Green Day song.So out of the ones I did hear, When I Come Around was probably the rarest one.
thisisAB Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I was looking through what my radio station played earlier that day one day, and I saw that Welcome to Paradise () was played before Redundant (). VERY rare in my opinion. I'm going to request Warning one day.Wow they played Longview, American Idiot and 21 Guns twice today (along with East Jesus Nowhere, Holiday, and When I Come Around)! Where was I?
billie-joe-geek72 Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 I hear Geek Stink Breath a lot on the radio over here. Dunno if that's "rare" though, haha.
Laura! Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 I don't know if this is considered rare or not. But I heard Jesus of Suburbia tonight.
Metanoia Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 i once heard nice guys finish last...........but never again..that was very rare......
Mar Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I don't know if this is considered rare or not. But I heard Jesus of Suburbia tonight. Whoa, really? On 89X?These aren't rare songs, but it's so weird, because these days I NEVER hear any songs from American Idiot on the radio. Back in 2005, all I heard was BOBD, Holiday, and WMUWSE. I mean, these songs were EVERYWHERE. All I heard in September 2005 was WMUWSE. But it seems like, by 2006, every radio station around me purged all of those singles from their playlists, and I honestly don't think I've heard any of those three songs since 2005 or maybe early 2006. Has anyone else experienced this, or do I just live in a crap radio market (well, I know I live in a crap radio market, but that's besides the point)?
MascaraTears Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I have a radio alarm clock, and one morning when it woke me up the station was playing J.A.R. and I don't think it was like a green day special or anything, it was just randomly played. but I always love hearing GD on the radio, no matter what song it is
Ila Reto Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 hah i think whichever ones we put on from the Rockoff would be ones that we'd never hear on the radio again here, it's always the same 2 songs: Longview and BOBD. i think i heard WTP on there once 2 years ago.
Guest Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 i heard She, Dominated Love Slave (0_0) yeah i know its not normal to hear that on your radio. and one i heard hella long ago Green Day which was shocking. all of these were on 104.9 but now theyre 92.3 here in San Jose.they only played these once.
Opezi Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 omg idk what station... some station m grandparents were listening to and... losers of the year by pinhead gunpowder came on! i was so happy but i usually hear longview or BOBD or American idiot or holiday... and of course... KYE and 21 guns oh yeah ! today on XM i heard warning and i dont know why but it just seems so much more incredible to hear green day on the radio rather then popping in one of their cds lol
BuriedInAHole Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Macy's Day Parade..I always thought, that it would be the best radio song for Green Day..

I heard Last of the American Girls and Murder City on there too.I wish it was on 89X though. They don't play enough Green Day.
Sara. Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 I mostly hear green day songs like BOBD, 21 guns, know your enemy, american idiot and all that stuff that everyone have heard... but then I suddenly heard J.A.R. on the itunes radio
Tiffx Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I've heard When I Come Around a couple of times before.
