misslyssx Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I don't listen to the radio often but I always hear "She" on the rock station at work. Not very rare, I know ...
Idun Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 one time on a radio station near me there were playing the whole album of Kerplunk, this was about 3 or 4 years ago.
fashionvictim86 Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 They play She quite a bit around here. I would say that they all are played on a regular basis, BUT the least played song is definitly Nice Guys Finish Last.
Mar Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I heard She about a month ago and I was freaking out, since I didn't realize it was that big of a hit in 1994 to the point where it would be played 15 years later! It was pretty exciting, since it's my second favorite song of theirs.I heard JoS in full one time as well.
bjrules Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 The only Green Day songs I've heard played around here are 21 Guns, Know Your Enemy, Good Riddance, American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends and When I Come Around. I've never heard any Insomniac or Warning songs on the radio.
Seedless_Reject Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 They play She quite a bit around here. I would say that they all are played on a regular basis, BUT the least played song is definitly Nice Guys Finish Last. They played that over here too, I was so excited that I had my friend pull over so we could blast it while we ran around. It's good to have friends who are as hyper as I amI also just remembered how I requested "21 Guns" around the time it was to be released for radio. They played KYE instead and before they played it the VJ said "sorry Meagen, I know you requested a different song, but we'll be playing that later this week" They played it as their 4:20 hit of the day.
Velocity Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Probably Nice Guys Finish Last, Hitchin' A Ride, and Warning.I also heard Jesus of Suburbia once or twice on the radio back in '05 when it was released as a single, so I guess it really wasn't that rare then.
Farah Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 warning waiting, east jesus nowhere, and idk.. there are a few..she, welcome to paradise, brainstewthese are the ones i've heard like only once or twice randomly on the radio..but most of all green day songs hardly get played on the radio unless they're singles..or a special on the radio or something:/
cmrnmrphy Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Warning...not sure how rare that is..ive only heard it onceJOS...think thats it haha
green day fantasy Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 when i was in the car with my cousin and uncle on our way back from canada into new york they played horseshoes and handgrenades. i dont know what radio station it was but i thought that was awesome sometimes i also hear basketcase, when i come around, boulevard of broken dreams, holiday, she, brain stew and wake me up when september ends. oh yeah and a little after american idiot came out i heard JOS a couple times.
Tubbie Head Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Well... In the portuguese radio, I think the rarest was When I Come Around ... a few days ago.. Before the concertBut I heard She (a live version) at a random radio station, when I was listening through iTunes
Stick Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Well... In the portuguese radio, I think the rarest was When I Come Around ... a few days ago.. Before the concertBut I heard She (a live version) at a random radio station, when I was listening through iTunesHere in Holland you don't get a lot of rare songs either. Just the singles.
minorityxdisturbed Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Brain Stew and Good Riddance, when I heard them it was like the radio knows that there are another songs more than American Idiot and Basket Case!
st. damniel Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I 1000 times I thought I heard know your enemy but got disappointed when I found out it wasn't... but I don't listen to the radio too much though...
Isabel Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I texted in to Phantom FM a few years ago saying that it was Tré's birthday and asked them to play some Green Day. They read out the text on air, wished Tré a very happy birthday and then played Redundant. I was like "Wow!!"
nikkih Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 JAR She Poprocks and Coke (that so made my day)Nice Guys Finish LastLast of the American Girls (but that was just some special thing when 21CB was released)
PasalacquaBomb Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 30 Minutes ago they played When I Come Around in radio. Also heard:Boulevard of broken dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends, 21 Guns, Holiday and what made me freaking out cuz it's a Pop Radio Station: Basket Case
Bohemian+Scandal Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I don't listen to the radio much. Occasionally in the car. I've heard Welcome to Paradise on Star 98.7 (Los Angeles area Station) a couple of times which was nice because I'm crazy about that song. KROQ has also played Jesus of Suburbia in its full 9 minute form. I heard it when they were counting down the greatest rock songs of all time. Hehe. Others I've heard apart from obvious more current songs:MinorityBasket CaseLongviewSheWhen I Come AroundHitchin' a RideGood Riddance (Time of Your Life)Brain Stew
henryb8249 Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 When I was driving home from the concert here in Ottawa in July, a local station was doing a 'Green Day Hour' and they put on Christian's Inferno
Savior of Rebellion Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 occasionly some station might play something weird like F.O.D or Waiting
-Billiejoezee- Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 When I was driving home from the concert here in Ottawa in July, a local station was doing a 'Green Day Hour' and they put on Christian's Inferno whoah.
Clayish Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 I am the biggest Green Day fan in my town, and during the 21CB era, I have heard only 21 guns.... ONCE!Terrible luck. But the rarest song I ever heard on the radio was probably She
