Everything you said is 100% true (I almost put tre LMAO!). It drives me nuts when everybodys complaining instead of saying "i can't wait! I'm curious to see what Green Day's going to do this time." People tend to forget back when Dookie was released they were all 22 years old. Now they are all 37 except Tre he's 36 but they all have wives (girlfriend for Tre) and there kids are older too. They've matured over the years. I hate to say it but all of you who complain are not true fans. A true fan loves every and anything the band puts out. Sorry. That's my opinion though.

Basically, they had a choice between being accessible to their fans and taking the bus everywhere, vs. doing the rock-glam chartered jet thing and charging $100-$150 a seat to cover the travel costs...at the expense of having the seats filled with an uptight crowd that's well outside of their core fan base. So yeah, I can see how having to haul the whole works down under will wind up driving up the ticket price. Hope you enjoy the show anyway, I'd have paid double or triple as much for the experience I had seeing them live.Anyway, I love EJN. I think people just wanna discuss the songs and it's hard to get your point across when you can't talk face to face. That's probably one of the reasons why people come across as whiny.And I think this board would be a boring place if we all agreed that Green Day are perfect. (which they of course are, but... )
