matteo263 Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Oh, okay, I get it now. biggrin.gifOn a side note... I want as much controversy as possible to stir because of this single, to be honest. I want people to get rallied up and pissed off. Maybe that's just me. Anybody else want to see the 'faith fanatics' get severely angry? laugh.gifYes I want Controversy!!!I just hope that they will do nothing to hurt or offend people, controversy is good but hurting people is just cruel. I hope that they canuse the same brain they use for lyrics.

I don't think controversy is necessary for the single.

And about loving Green Day for their music and whatnot, we do, but when you make a song that's about blindly following religion, people are going to expect there to be a controversial video.Personally, I like the video, but as a music video, I can see where people don't like it. I would love for nothing more then to have Green Day make a controversial video, but hell, even the live video is better then KYE and 21 Guns, so I can't complain too much.
Katherine Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Fucking amazing, I'm so happy!! It's crazy they're releasing this single right after they announced 21CB.
Nikki_Nimrod Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 YESSSSS! I'm SO happy EJN is gonna be a single. I can't wait to finally hear it everywhere- It's one of my favorites on the record, along with 21CB. So for me it's perfect! As for the video, honestly i do think they could make an epic one, but i trust GD. They haven't let me down yet, and i still think the live footage is fantastic! I’m sure whatever they end up doing will be awesome.
Rae'n'shine Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Yes! EJN as the single! I'm hoping they don't use that live video as the official music video. Maybe if it wasn't just a recording of the song over live footage, I would like it more.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 its amazing how much as well! or it is to me. its almost like "how DARE they put that out as their video/not promote it properly/paint one finger nail blue and not exxplain it!!!!!" shesh! chill out people! Green Day try to help their fans by trying to eliminate scalping - fans complain that its a pain to get their tickets. ◘Well guess what at least you got tickets and the scalpers didnt, so deal with it.Green Day works hard and releases an amazing work of art - fans complain that it took too long and it isn't like Dookie. ◘Get over it, Dookie was 15 years ago.Green Day announces sound checks for the UK tour - Green Day fans complain because they might not get in ◘ 99.9 % of people from the US didnt get in either, be happy they are doing them at allGreen Day sells tickets for less than $50 - Green Day fans complain that tickets are too expensive◘ yeah they put on an amazing show for under 50..... seriously have you seen the prices of other popular artists ticket prices?Green Day plays an amazing first show of the tour - fans complain that it is too much like the AI tour◘ Oh ok. norcalgreendayfan Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 someone would complain about that too prolly oh you that would be true, probably about how they didnt like the way they were killed
Angela. Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 i'cat't believe you guys!So do we love gd for their music or for the controversy they create!I mean , i liked the political controversy but christians believe in something they don't support somethingthe consept of the song makes sense and is sooo great but why do we have to make the public misgudge the songs for a satanist song?I DON"T GET YOU PEOPLE!*facepalm* Let me rephrase what I meant earlier. EJN is a song that deals with a topic that a lot of people don't want to admit to: that religion isn't perfect, and that there are many contradictions in it. A lot of people like to keep that detail brushed under the rug and go by the agenda that everything is swell in their own religious group. That personally pisses me off a bit. See, I have no problem with people who have a religion. They believe in something, and that's great. I'm fully supportive of that. What I don't agree with is what I mentioned already, about the contradictions. That's why I'm so excited for this single/music video, because it deals with a topic that many people know about, but choose to keep their mouths shut about. I love that GD had the guts to make a song that directly confronts this issue. It's not another mindless, shallow song being played on the radio to kill some time - it's a song with a great message that can leave people really thinking about things.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 oh you that would be true, probably about how they didnt like the way they were killedexactly.this guy from SAN JOSE gets it.
Kaddi. Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I expected it to be the other way around. EJN for Europe and 21st CB for the US. But it's okay, I like both songs, so I don't really care which one they release here
norcalgreendayfan Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 exactly.this guy from SAN JOSE gets it.Yeah you know i get it who better than the guy from SAN JOSE
Jacob. Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 is there a single cover yet for east jesus nowhere?
amy_runs Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Sweet. Although I still don't understand what they're doing with the whole 'singles for the US & UK only' thanggg
Eirik Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Sweet. Although I still don't understand what they're doing with the whole 'singles for the US & UK only' thangggWell, my guess is that however is in charge of the releasing of the singles have researched that a stomping rock song like EJN would do well in the US and UK, whereas a longer, more epic song would fit better everywhere else. But yeah, that's just my guess, and probably not a good one. EDIT: Woops, I read "why" not "what".
Heather! Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 YES, I'm EJN is a single. Just a matter of time, anyway. Stoked for the video.Your sig/ava are hilarious
