Their VMA performance was epic, they proved that great music only needs a band and a great band doesn't need pizazz to make up for the lack of something else!

But I agree with you, the promoting for this whole album had been absolute shit. The only single that actually got good promoting was KYE with the whole MTV thing, and we all know what happened to it. Personally, I think that the whole VMA performance was boring, and hardly had anything worth remembering, other then the fact that audience members got pulled up. I think because of that, nobody really paid attention to the new song.That and the Kanye thing overshadowed everything.Hahaha. Yeah I'm not hating on the songs themselves and I enjoy the East Jesus Nowhere live video thing and that performance very much. It's just the lack of imagination in the choice of singles and the less than inspiring videos haven't grabbed my attention at all. To me, the album 21st Century Breakdown blows everything they've done out of the water, it's a huge event! A song like East Jesus Nowhere deserved to make a similar big impact and take the world by storm, not to be released quietly with a simple, low-impact video. The mediocrity of every aspect of their single releases from the choice of song to the videos just doesn't do the album justice for me.Despite the amount I've moaned about this it's not really much of a problem, I'm MORE than satisfied with listening to the amazing album and not taking much interest in the singles. I just want the album to be done justice and represented properly by the singles because Green Day deserve it!

But I think a lot could've been done; it could've been a really intense and creative music video.Seeing the video on TV was awesome though. It was amazing, I thought. The "saving" part is beyond cool. And you can see how invovled the crowd is, how big the crowd is, and how much the guys get into the moment. I don't know - I just really like it. But, yeah, I don't think it will draw in as much attention as it could've.

Im happy they didnt cut the beginning with the gas mask, cause i thought they might.
