heartscollide Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Oh.. I'm so confused But anyway, it's still awesome!Wait! Someone just told me that EJN's just for US and UK?!? Is that true ?Sadly, yes.I'm thinking it's probably because of the religious references etc. They don't wanna offend the world, only the US and UK.
netty Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Sadly, yes.I'm thinking it's probably because of the religious references etc. They don't wanna offend the world, only the US and UK.its got nothing to do with that. if they didnt want to offend people they wouldnt have put the song on the album. or include swearing or whatever in their songs! its more to do with what feed back they are getting from radio stations as to what might be the best single to release at any one time, I should imagine.
parinaz Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Sadly, yes.I'm thinking it's probably because of the religious references etc. They don't wanna offend the world, only the US and UK.It could be true, but another reason in my opinion is to increase the number of their audience for their next american tour. the EJN video was kinda as a promotion for their tours.
Mar Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 It could be true, but another reason in my opinion is to increase the number of their audience for their next american tour. the EJN video was kinda as a promotion for their tours. You may have a point. The band's strong point is certainly their live shows (not to say that I don't love their recordings, obviously), but that video highlights why they're so wonderful (even with the album version of the song), and if I hadn't already attended one of their shows, it would probably leave me with a desire to attend one of their shows because it just looked so fun.
parinaz Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 True, they make ppl come to their tour unconcsiously. so that's why I say they have become a little bit money-lover.
Maddy. Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 True, they make ppl come to their tour unconcsiously. so that's why I say they have become a little bit money-lover.I wouldn't say they were money-lovers, they just love performing for their fans.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 True, they make ppl come to their tour unconcsiously. so that's why I say they have become a little bit money-lover.yeah because clearly their label has nothing to do with that.
Astrid. Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 ^It says EJN will be released in the UK and US, and 21CB will be a world single. I think. That's stupid. Why only the UK.. it's a part of Europe! Is there any reason why they do it like this?I'm late in this thread.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 That's stupid. Why only the UK.. it's a part of Europe! Is there any reason why they do it like this?I'm late in this thread. It is stupid. They are just a bunch of fucking idiots and should be more considerate when making album plans.
Ally Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 That's stupid. Why only the UK.. it's a part of Europe! Is there any reason why they do it like this?I'm late in this thread.i agree it is stupid, i dont see why they cant just release the same single everything, surely it would be easier!
asdrians Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I just saw the new video of EJN on MTV2!!!! It's a live video with photoshoots and it's awesome.By the way, the video comes with a new version of the song.
parinaz Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 yeah because clearly their label has nothing to do with that.oh, you mean that warner also pushes them to do this? yeah,I do agree.a little 2009- warner bros word appears at the end of their videos it's so little and shy just to say that warner is innocent. :whistling:
Empty Laughter Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I'm kinda happy if there's like another video of EJN beside that one posted in GD.com & also a 21stCB video can't wait to see both !! & I was trying to find some explanation of why there'll be two singles, but I just couldn't get a reasonable conclusion LOL... but is that a really big deal? I don't think so... & I think that maybe BJ or someone is going to give some details... I hope reporters have the same doubt & ask them in interviews or something PS: there isn't a date for 21stCB, right?
netty Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 its already been said, different singles for different markets. we dont know what discussions go on when it comes to deciding which single to releease where or when. all we can do is enjoy each release as it comes out. thats what green day is about after all. bloody good music! who cares what order the singles come out in. we all have the album and can listen to the songs when we want any way.
Sarahnade. Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Ahhhhhhh I want both videos NOW. I'm so curious about them.
Trina Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Wow. I'm getting really sick of all the complaining about everything. Seriously.Tickets are $102 in Australia, just sayin'.Other bands and artists had to scrap their australian tour because of the costs, just sayin'.Compared to other bands of that popularity, it's probably still cheaper, just sayin'.By the way, the video comes with a new version of the song. How so?I've seen it and the song sounds the exact same...So I have to say, I'm still a little confused about all of this! But I'm enjoying it. Two singles in one messy go - sounds good to me. I'm telling ya no other band would have "fans" who would complain about this...
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 So the live music video is official then?
Sarahnade. Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 So the live music video is official then?I'm wondering this too. I'm still pretty lost with everything.
rinu Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Yay! But what about 21st Century Breakdown then?
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I'm wondering this too. I'm still pretty lost with everything. I've been lost ever since 21st century breakdown was anounced to be the new single.
Jacob. Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 does anyone have the cover art of the CD single for this song?
mitzymoo Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Wow. I'm getting really sick of all the complaining about everything. Seriously. So I have to say, I'm still a little confused about all of this! But I'm enjoying it. Two singles in one messy go - sounds good to me. I'm telling ya no other band would have "fans" who would complain about this...I dont see why other bands fans would complain i mean its like double green day everyone should be happy I'm wondering this too. I'm still pretty lost with everything. i think everybody is lost with all of this but who cares were getting two singles at once plus we will all find out in time whats happen
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I hope this means theres gonna be lots of singles...:whistling:
thisisAB Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 SUPER EXCITED! Finally EJN is coming out! But on GDA Andres posted that EJN is for US and UK only. What about Canada? Are they classified as "rest of the world" or US/UK since we're pretty much the same as the US?
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Hmmmm good question... I think you guys are clasified as the rest of the world. Because it would have said US/Canada.
