parinaz Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 okay, i'm a little behind but i just saw that video of billie talking to that 18 year old swedish girl about "something wrong with my pants" and WTF???? that is so weird..that girl... well. he made me nervous.what did billie read from the card during acceptance speech?
RobyRoom Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 that girl... well. he made me nervous.what did billie read from the card during acceptance speech?Something that was printed on the card Anyway, I've understood this "Sequence number ten" and then he said " oh...sorry, I was just kidding" :/ Not really funny though.
Juliette Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 what did billie read from the card during acceptance speech?Yeah I wondered that too.And my god, that girl who interviewed them, I wanted to strangle her haha. What she said to Tre at the end was just harsh.
parinaz Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Yeah I wondered that too.And my god, that girl who interviewed them, I wanted to strangle her haha. What she said to Tre at the end was just harsh.what was that? i forgot it...
RobyRoom Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 What she said to Tre at the end was just harsh.but Tre is a badass LOL and he replyed with class "Next time, baby"
germangirl94 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 From my German lessons (which I sucked at) kack would be pronounced cock. German speakers, yes or no?no but it's a little bit similar to it.
minority87 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 that performance was supergreatperfecto and the acceptspeech to the award was wow. love them... still... i feel like a little teenie since they're really back again... obsessedness without end.i think it was cock, but the connection to the "part of his german" is weired.and i heard "secrets ten. just.... oh i was kidding" but whats the joke there o_O... i love it though lol cause its so lovable to see that they're having a good time right now and are in very good mood.....mike was sweet. and the end good good good...
sallysimpson Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I watched the snippets of the preshow interview and then the acceptance speech. My take was this: They look tired. They've been going nonstop. I can't imagine expending that kind of energy night after night and traveling when you weren't performing. I also think that between the preshow interview and their award, they had consumed some spirits which probably just intensified the irony and their indignation that "the Hoff" was presenting their award. I'd be insulted if a drunk David Hasselhoff (or a sober one, for that matter) presented any award that I received (tidiest toilet, consistent dental appointments). His whole shtick made my flesh crawl. I know the man was big in Germany (I was living there when his "Looking for Freedom" was HUGE), but c'mon. And Katy Perry -- not for nothing, but what's the point of her? The whole thing was just misguided and tragic, in my opinion. And they just seemed over it. I can't say that I blame them one bit.
parinaz Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 is it true that billie lost his shoes at the end of the performance? he took it from stage then.
RobyRoom Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 is it true that billie lost his shoes at the end of the performance? he took it from stage then. He picked up something from the floor at the end, but I don't think it was a shoe I think that we have to put in perspective this guessing about the fact that they were tired or drunk.Yeah Billie seemed a bit irritated and dry at some moments but maybe it was just because he was disappointed by the performance. The accident with the security guy that pulled off the wireless plug could have put the performace in serious risk, just look at the face of billie joe in that moment . I held my breath at that point but don't get me wrong, they were amazing but they were close to cut a poor figure in front of millions of people.
Harinezumi Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 is it true that billie lost his shoes at the end of the performance? he took it from stage then. Yes he did, there's photo evidence in picture thread. The whole thing was just misguided and tragic, in my opinion. And they just seemed over it. I can't say that I blame them one bit.Thank you! I was beginning to think that I'm the only one who thinks that the whole show was stupid and pointless. The only thing that made it worth watching was GD.
Mar Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Thank you! I was beginning to think that I'm the only one who thinks that the whole show was stupid and pointless. The only thing that made it worth watching was GD.This statement is making me feel better about not being able to see the show in full! Although I would like to see the drunken moments and the kickass performance on my TV.

RobyRoom Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 It happened? yeah I saw his face which really makes me nervous anytime I see this.but didn't know that it was the accident. Thank god Mike helped Billie to fix the problem.Otherwise we couldn't have listened to the Minority solo.At that point I almost melted

hellolaura Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I was so surprised when they played minority! It was awesome!
scottrowan200 Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 whats this about a shoe and thing with the wireless and security i never noticed this
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Woo I've watched Green Day winning Best Rock award 2 times now today MTV is having an EMA weekendbreak this weekend, which means they show the whole EMA's at least 2 times a day, plus all kinds of other EMA crap in between They wrote Billie's name right in the subtitles! (oh, and they also made it into best cock award, not kack award).
farley drexel hatcher Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 whats this about a shoe and thing with the wireless and security i never noticed thisWhen Billie went on his little walk about he ended up in trouble getting back on stage. Security had to sort of push him up by his backside so something happened to the wires he had back there (something to do with his guitar probably). Mike fixed it in the end as no one else was close enough. And he must have lost a shoe while getting back up there because there's a photo of him jumping and he has one shoe on. XD
GDM Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I didn't even realize that he lost his shoe since I was so focussed on the monitor getting plugged back in. yea, I don't think Billie was enjoying himself at all. He looked miserable in some of those photos on Getty. The guys neec to come home and rest up. I'm glad that are getting a break soon.
parinaz Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Thank god Mike helped Billie to fix the problem.Otherwise we couldn't have listened to the Minority solo.At that point I almost melted me.too.When Billie went on his little walk about he ended up in trouble getting back on stage. XDthe security were absolutly IDIOT.
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I've only seen the acceptance speech so far (thank you MTV and your wonderful copyright claims) but it wasn't too bad. Granted, the cock joke went down like a fart in a lift, but Katy Perry and David Hasselhoff were more embarassing to watch. From some of the accounts I've read, the night seemed like a bit of a disaster really. It looks like Green Day only performed two songs as there was a gap from Robbie Williams cancelling (apparently over budget cuts to his performance) and they probably acted like they did due to frustration at having to endure being there.
RobyRoom Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 me.too.the security were absolutly IDIOT. Yes he didn't need to be pushed up. He's young and athletic

IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 ? Robbie (and I think Eminem) were both due to perform at the awards but cancelled due to 'schedule conflicts' (or at least in Robbie's case). However, the rumour going round is that the budget for the show was cut, meaning their performances wouldn't have been as spectacular as they perhaps wanted. Hence Green Day and Foo Fighters performing twice to fill the gap.
