because it was funny?

he said GD turned 21 this October which means they have been in the music business for 21 years now and then he told Joss Stone that he's 25, cause she said she was 22 after hearing that GD have been in the music busniess for so long now.

Joss just couldn't believe that GD had been out there for so long already and compared these 21 years of experience to her age.

so yeah...BJ's comment was meant to be funny...which I think it was.

anyway, i have to go now! talk to you guys later!! bye bye.

Please wait to see the interviews before posting a comment, otherwise your words will be really get as out of contest :)

That's just a friendly advice, I know you are in the worst situation ever because you weren't able to see the show and because most of the times you're not even able to download stuff, because your country has banned almost every single website (except for this one :woot: ) but please, relax. :)

I really don't know what to make of all this....slightly worried about Billie's drinking, but we saw him drunk at the FHT show, and perhaps here, but I don't think he's a total alcoholic. He's just living the rockstar lifestyle: Sex, drugs, rock and roll.

And if there was free alcohol, I'd be wasted too...

I think we're all just getting a bit touchy about this, I'm sure Billie's fine.

no no . I have already watched it, I just can't understand what they said exactly.

no I don't praise anyone. but i didn't say anything bad about billie or whoever in this thread.

guys, is this true that billie talked about his nervousness in one interview and then told the interviewer that she's nervous, too?

so calling him abnormal isnt bad?

FUCK SAKE. this is probably THE most pointless conversation in the world. So what if Billie was/wasnt drunk, its his night off, they can do what the fuck they want. Nobody on here 'knows' any of the members of Green Day so how do you know if it isnt 'normal' behaviour. They're just letting there hair down.

I swear that this forum is full of people who think they know Green Day personally. When Billie and co start performing at there concerts completely off there faces then I think theres cause for concern, but until then (hopefully never) just leave them alone, they shouldnt have to be picked on every little thing they do!

On the other hand.. I thought there performance was amazing as always, and that the acceptance speech was hilarious. The only reason the joke didnt work is because people didnt understand what they were saying. But for the other millions of people that were watching... it was funny

Finally someone who speaks some sense. I don't like how everyone's blowing this way out of proportion, I know people who drink loads, and I wouldn't call them alcoholics, they're just having a good time.

Yeah, I'm one of them :D. Amen to that, sister.

It wasn't the performance or the acceptance speech that got people talking, it was that little pre-show interview where Billie did seem slightly off; he looked drunk or high or something, and since this was before the show even started people were bound to be a little bit concerned. But yeah, he didn't appear that drunk during the show so there is nothing really to worry about.

A few points...

I can't believe the conversations about Billie being drunk/getting old looking etc. He's a crusty rock star for christsakes (the best kind), not a pin up boy! Go Billie!

I hope no one has had a heart attack because Billie (Joel) was mis-named, I know how upset this makes some people....

I hope they give Mike the 'best cock award' as it's definately his by default (a follow up photo of cock and award together would be fitting).

The performance was fantastically unique as always.

U2 haven't been best live act since the Joshua Tree tour.

Anyone know if this show is on tv in the next few days? (UK)

Anyone know where I can download the Pete Wentz interview? Ta in advance.

AMEN!

We just shouldn't try to pretend we know them. I mean, personally know them. This is pathetic.

IF someone really knew them in person, was friends with them for a long period of time now, they wouldn't admit it or go out and spill all those juicy details about what is going wrong in their lives.

MTV are showing a highlights version at 4 tomorrow by the look of it.

Haven't seen the Pete Wentz interview come up yet.

pete wentz only interviewd with mike & tre?

I haven't seen this yet but I am glad it was only Mike and Tre. It's great that they become the focus of attention Billie isn't there. I love BJA and all, but I adore hearing Mike and Tre talk without every one asking Billie all of the questions.

Does anyone have a link to this? I had to go to a stupid meeting at work and had to walk away from my computer stream. :(

yes, here's the link: videos of the EMA's

it's the last one with "Joss Stone, Joko and more". pretty lame to just call it AND MORE, but yeah...that's the one with Mike and Tré.

I missed the Green Day's perform  Cause I was busy with homework, when I looked at the clock it was 21:30, and if I was early a bit I could watch it.Whatever I'm sure that Mtv will show it again like they always do.

I wouldn't call Billie crusty...he's beautiful! An edgy, punk-rock pin up boy (the evidence is on my wall).

He definitely doesn't look old, and I REALLY don't think he was that drunk or high. The performance was too good, it was pitch-perfect!

So what's the point?!

Green Day somehow are too.

Billie Joe looked gay-er than ever yesterday night

I was just talking about Bono and Parinaz asked me what I thought of R.E.M., and I said that they were gay. No big deal.

I like his gay-ness. :)

And if there was free alcohol, I'd be wasted too...

Hell yeah. Free drinks are awesome.

I couldn't agree more. :)

He seems to say in that video that to sort the nerves "it's nothing that a little bit of drugs doesn't take care of on it's own". Or am i hearing it wrong?

and what does he mean?

Posted
and what does he mean?

in other words: he did drugs to calm himself down.

now before you go nuts about it: he was just making fun!!

they say stuff like that all the time.

that's really nothing to worry about.
