GDM Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Lets wait and see what they say about it I am sure one of the mods will ask the relevant questions and get some answers for us, it does state 20 + a guest each, maybe it was a miscommunication, it's GD after all there's always loads of them It does make it very unlikely people will get into the soundchecks if only 10 are being picked, so I am not expecting to get into any and i'm disappointed about that but I am sure my life will not end, oh well I met someone in the East Bay who works in Social Media Networking and says the GD social media networking sucks... which it does, no offense to any of the mods at the IC, but GD should pay more attention to their sites like FB, MYspace, GD.com, etc. They are really missing opportunities and not delivering clear communications. I know they don't want to be part of the modern world, but unfortunately, they are, and things like this piss people off. It is an obvious mistake on someone's part.

It is an obvious mistake on someone's part.Yup I totally agree with you, as someone who has worked in the media in one form or another for the last 10 + years I do get frustrated with certain aspects of communication coming from within the bands camp. The world is so much different now, you either have to embrace it or get left behind, esp if you're doing as GD are and selling a product its all about communication and getting the word out quick sharp.

Kryssi. Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I'm not sure of the time that the soundcheck will be. It might be different from the other venues, but as there hasn't been an IC soundcheck party as of yet, the first is tomorrow, we won't really know until Friday at the earliest.
