Ila Reto Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I've been a collecter of Green Day merch since 1994, and every now and then, you find something online that you know is near impossible to get, and it just makes you want it that much more. What are some of the things you've been after or already have?First off, apparently when 39/Smooth was first pressed it was released on vinyl AND cassette tape. I have seen pleanty of copies of 1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours on cassette, but NEVER 39/Smooth . . can anyone confim that this even exists? I also remember seeing somewhere a cassette featuring 1,000 Hours & Slappy that was released in Germany or something, but now I cant' seem to find evidence of this anywhere. There's also a bootleg cassette called 'Punk Pukin Fuckin Shit' that has a song called 'You Can't Fool Me' as Sweet Children, Im guessing this is one of those 3 unreleased songs from the early days.i have the 1039/sosh cassette, and if you're referring to the 39/Smooth LP i have that as well.no idea about the German cassettes nor 'Punk Pukin Fuckin Shit'.i've heard You Cant Fool Me a few times on youtube.my rare stuff isn't really all that rare:kerplunk!, 1,000 hours, slappy, 39/Smooth, Basket Case UK edition, Berkely Block Buster, Live @ Gilman, Green Day (self titled or also called Sweet Children sometimes), and Pinhead Gunpowder 7". also 1039/sosh cassette & tab book, Attack of Insomnia & Having a Blast bootlegs. Has anyone gotten a hold of the Sweet Children vinyl that has the old fashion car on it? it's on GDA rare items and the last one i need in the "early days" collection.

PleasedToMeetMe Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Im not so sure that the Epitaph versions are rare, I bought Kerplunk at The Exclusive Company in Madison for $10, but I saw 1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours on Epitaph just a few months earlier at Best Buy for like, $40 so I didn't get it.Those GD rolling papers sure sound mighty nifty
Astrid. Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 According to some people on here, I forgot who, I have a rare singles box. I'll post a picture of it later. I can't find a camera right now. I don't know if it's really rare, but I have to admit, I'd never seen it before.
Samantha Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I was at the DollarTree and on the way out I saw a sticker machine. You know, the kind you put quarters into the slot, push it in and then when you pull the sticker comes out. Anyway they have GD stickers, 15 in all I believe, so I plan in collecting all of them. But really ? The dollar store ?
PleasedToMeetMe Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 yepThat's pretty fucking awsome  I'd give up a testicle to meet that man haha.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 indeed. not the most rare item ever, but not everyday by any means.I wouldn't call it that either, I don't think I've ever seen a copy without Ernie.I think it's only rare in the US or something.
