The album hasn't been out, that long, so the record sales weren't going to be massively high. However, if hose figures haven't changed much in a year, then that's quite sad.

I think 21 Guns was good, but Know Your Enemy wasn't strong enough and 21st Century Breakdown isn't going to be strong enough. They aren't choosing songs that will hook people. I don't know what they are thinking. There are so many strong songs on the album, yet they are picking the ones that are lower on the attention grabbing scale.

Horseshoes and Handgrenades (good hook as lead lingle as it connects to American Idiot)

Restless Heart Syndrome (underrated song, amazing single potential, and similar to BOBD which did well, plus cool song name)

East Jesus Nowhere (for obvious reasons unnecessary to be stated)

Peacemaker (good follow up to EJN, very unique song too, you normally don't hear songs like this)

21st Century Breakdown (apart from being a great song, a good closing single because it kind of brings back the album)

I honestly don't care if they're not 'popular' anymore. It's not going to be the same as the AI era which is totally okay with me.

yeah the singles have been shitty choices, 21CB should have been the first single.

But as long as the fans enjoy the music, it's all good.

One reason that the album doesn't not sell is Walmart, isn't that the biggest record seller in the US?

But I think the singles have been awsome the biggest songs on the record. Why don't you all think even close the same??

There is also a simple fact that this type of music is not what is popular right now. Hip Hop and all that stuff is still massively outselling anything else. Plus AI happened to be 'in' at the time it was out; it was flavour of the month, so to speak. People bought that album who will never buy a GD album again. Kids bought it, parents bought it for their kids, it was just one of those records. Sales don't really mean anything when it comes down to it.

I think the album has done great considering all the above and the fact it's promotion has been rubbish.

That's still a good amount and now EJN & 21st CB videos have been released, what with the UK tour, that's bound to boost it a bit.
