ScreamsInSilence815 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I was at a hotel and I was eating breakfast and I was wearing a Green Day shirt and this lady was like, "nice shirt" so I said thanks, and she was saying how they are her favorite band and stuff so I told her I saw them at MSG and she was saying how she was jealous, and then she was saying how Billie was closer to her age and my dad said yea my wife likes him, so she said "What's not to like" yeaaa it was cool Haha this reminds me of once when I was cashing out at JCPenney and the cashier lady (who was like 60) saw my GD shirt and started talking about how she "just LOOOVES" Billie Joe even though she was old enough to be his mother, haha. She like actually admitted that. She was like "he's just so awesome!" Then she said she was jealous that I saw them live.
Kryssi. Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Today while I was at work, we have a woman that comes in every Monday to write down the prices for all the new releases on the CD's and Movies section, and I was talking to her as usual and I said that I'm going to be away from work for two weeks following a band on the road and she asked me what band, and I said Green Day and she was like "I love Green Day!!" And I spent the next 15 minutes with her talking about the shows, the Foxies, the Network and more Green Day. Her cool points went up by a billion today.
TheBullwinkle Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 The only Green Day lovers I really meet are though this forum, sadly enough. A lot of people around here don't like Green Day, which is ironic considering I'm in the Bay Area.
bjrules Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I was in Maths with a girl who I've been really good friends with for about a year, and the background to my computer was a picture of Green Day, and she's like "I love that song Maria" and I was like "What? Where did you here that song?" and then she's like "International Superhits. I love Green Day, didn't I even tell you?" and I was like "No, How long have you liked them for?" and she was like "About 5 years" and I was like "Me too!" and then we were talking about them for the rest of the day she has most of their albums. I was so happy Oh yeah, and one of the guys in my class always has the cover to Dookie as his background. I might say something after the holidays
fashionvictim86 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I met a couple people at some yard sales on Sunday that like Green Day.I also saw a kid at the Old Country Buffet a few weeks ago wearing a Green Day shirt. My mom went up to him and handed him a GDA sticker. He just sat there in shock.
iLozza! Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 ^Awesome I was having this massive random chat with about 20 kids from my school and I was like "Brb, Green Day are on the telly." and everyone said "Oh, they suck." "Rock music (n)" etc. And this guy was like "I fucking love Green Day. I'm going to see them on the 23rd of October." and when I got back I was like "" Now we're friends
Agija Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Some of my friends once met a guy who was a huge Green Day fan. They don't like Green Day, and the only thing they know about the band is that I'm their fan, too. And that's what they told him. He said it was awesome. My friends wanted me to go to talk to him on the other day, but I never did.
NoVaCaInE! Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 i know what a lot of people here mean about the school thing unfortunately i was the only person in my school that liked them. Yes, literally only. Thats what you get when you go to a school full of chavs I've never really met anyone that likes Green Day as much as i do in real life, only on here..thats why i cant wait for next month
Hermione Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 There was that boy who spent a while trying to convince me this band called Green Day that I'd barely heard of were the best thing ever, back when we were 14 and Warning had just come out. But I didn't listen to him
Seedless_Reject Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 my eighth grade math teacher/ vice principle saw me wearing a Green Day shirt while he was chaperoning our class trip to Washington DC and he was like "Green Day are they still around, I went to see them when I was in college" I didn't expect him to listen to them at the time because as a kid you think the classic 'teachers don't have lives out of school", but now I think it's pretty cool
Opezi Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 yeah i knew this girl in middle school who wore green day everyday i talked to her every now and then.. but then when i went into high school, she went to another high school
Heather! Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I never meet other GD fans... There are two other Green Day fans at my school who love them almost as much as I do, but I don't really like either of them.
norcalgreendayfan Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 The only Green Day lovers I really meet are though this forum, sadly enough. A lot of people around here don't like Green Day, which is ironic considering I'm in the Bay Area.Yeah seriously like I am the only person at my work that really likes Green Day with any passion and most of the customers that come in seem to be old, and the young ones that come in are more in to rap
Rae'n'shine Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I have a couple of Green Day fans as friends. My ex is a huge Green Day fan and I took him to see them with me in Vegas. He then told me afterward that he didn't realize I was such a huge fan. I never really talked about what a huge fan I was, unless somebody asked. Whenever I wore my Kerplunk shirt to school, a lot of people would make fun of me, and I would flip them off I never got compliments...Then I have one other friend who hates "new" Green Day and disses on how much they've changed since Dookie. We debate all the time about it, usually ending with her storming off because her argument is stupid. But, it would be really cool if I randomly met a Green Day fan in this shitty town. It would blow my socks off.
Myraaa Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 This guy in my math class likes them. I would've NEVER guessed. I found out because he was acting like Billie from that scene in BIAB when he's like, "YOU LIKE THAT BITCH, UHH. UHHH" and I was like, "=o I loveeee Greeen Dayyyy"after that I told him about the concert in Phoenix that I went to, and I said they even played 2000 Light Years Away, and his response was: "What? "
Nimrod99 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I was in Hot Topic one night waiting to meet up with someone because we were going to a Green Day concert that night. The guy working at the register than says to me "are you going to see Green Day tonight?", I told him yes, then he said "OMG, I'm so fucking jealous", and we yakked a little more about Green Day and then it was time to go. lol.Oh, and I volunteer at a free clinic, and one of the Med Techs asked how my weekend was. So I told him it was amazing because I went to Seattle to see Green Day kick of the 21CB Tour. He was like "that's cool, I saw them on the Warning Tour and they were great." which totally suprised me because I was at the same show. lol.
g l o r i a Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Today I was walking through the hall way, I saw this kid with a Green Day concert tour.I saw him and told him it was awesome, that I had the same one and if he had gone to the Concert. He did, and then he suddenly recogonized that I was the one that got on stage, and like nearly attacked me with a hug.it was really cool, kids at my school are very close minded when it comes to music, and always tell me that Green Day sucks, so this was an awesome suprise.
Anko Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 In a Wal-Mart parking lot, this old lady came up to me and my mom,she wanted us to sign a petition.I was wearing my AI shirt and she said "Oh you like Green Day? Me too!" really weird. I swear I saw her when I went to their Aug 3rd concert
Hermione Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Oh yeah! I used to know this bloke who often got the same bus as me and we would always spend our bus journey chatting. He told me he saw Green Day live around the time of Dookie, and that someone threw a teddy bear on stage so Billie Joe pulled his pants down and pretended to stick it up his arse. I'm still not sure if he was making it up or not
Juju Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 i was sitting in the student center at school the other day, and a girl with a Green Day bag walked by. idk. it just made me happy. most of the people i know don't like them, so when i come across a fellow fan, i get kind of excited.
KCoyote Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I've never met another Green Day fan. Only my family members, but none of them like them as much as me. A lot of my friends won't listen to them because they swear and/or their parents won't let them.
Slappy Minnelli Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I saw some chick in a Green Day concert shirt at the renaissance festival today xDI poked her and said I went to that show >.>I didn't mention the main parts.
Chelsea Hotel Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 The other day I was wearing one of my Green Day shirts to school (one I got from my show) and a girl stopped me in the hall and said she had the same shirt.I was like, "Oh, really? Cool!" but I didn't talk to her because I was late to algebra.

WTF? lol, i've never heard about people who wouldn't listen to them because of the swearing or their parents
