Nah, I haven't see a Green Day fan for a long long time.

Everyone always says, you know, the regular shit - ''Sellouts'' , ''Green Gay'' etc.

I have. About 2 weeks ago. I was at the mall and two guys walked past me and they both had a Green Day shirt on with Green Day written on the backside. So I said something like: Cool, Green Day fans, to my friend. They turned around and asked if I was going to the show next month. We had a really nice chat.

And another one. Long time ago. I was in a clothing store and had my Green Day shirt on. The girl in front of me kept staring at me (I didn't know why) so I asked her why she did. She turned into a tomato and said: I like Green Day too. Nothing to be ashamed of, was my responds. We had a little chat and that's it.

Usually when they hear that I'm listening to them, they say they rock.

And just one time girl came up to meand said she likes them too , because she read it on Facebook, and recognized me.

I went to a Third Eyed Blind show yesterday and I was saying something to my friend (she's on GDC, her username is gabbag) about Green Day and the girl in front of us is like "Green Day? They put on a REALLY good show! I saw them in Albany a few years back."

and earlier on there was a kid wearing a GD shirt so I ran up to him (probably scaring the crap out of him) and was like "OMG GREEN DAY!!!"

yep!

when i started my new school last year i met a girl in my class wich i'm friends with now, and she said she used to love green day, she still does, but she used to listen to them more often before.. and she has met all three of green day members when she was 11 ( :( lucky bitch..xd)

and also this boy i know he's about 12 or 13 apparently he used to like green day before too but i didn't know(don't really believe him either!xD), and this year i knew his a big fan of them right now...

oh and when i wen't to ireland to visit my mum's boyfriend's son, we where all in the car and he started singing basket case all of the sudden, and he knew all the lyrics :D

I hum Green Day songs and random people go "hey, that's Green Day, cool song  " :)

When I was at camp over the summer, I wore my Green Day shirt on the last day and I had at least five or six people come up to me and say how awesome Green Day were. One of the RAs said he'd seen them a few years before and told me, "You'll have a great time, they're excellent live."

And at Target the same day the cashier saw my shirt and said, "Green Day rock!" I said, "Yeah, I'm seeing them in a couple weeks," and she said something like, "Lucky!" And she was about my mom's age.

And there was the time during a school field trip where we sang a medley of Basket Case, Brain Stew and Holiday.

there's this girl in my office class, and the 3rd day of school she wore a shirt with Gloria on it

i was shocked, because i've never seen anyone wearing a green day shirt at my school before.

unless they're teenies or something...idk we'll have to see.

I was in a CD-shop to buy CD's (:o), from Green Day, and the cashier asked me if I was going to the Rotterdam concert, and whether I went in 2005, and said he liked them. That's about it.

I know that there are a couple fans at my school, but I've never met one.

Apparently there's one in my main class, but I don't know who it is. And there's someone in a friend's class, who's got 256 songs of them on his iPod. No idea who it is, though.

And apparently, in my old class there was a guy who used to be all into them in 1st form, but now not so much anymore.

I was in a shop buying kerrang and I was wearing a Green Day hoodie, and the cashier who was like 50 started talking to me about how awesome Green Day were. It was unexpected and awesome at the same time.

I was shopping downtown in this vintage store & the employee spotted my shirt & asked if I went to the show. I said yes, and he started telling me how Green Day had been in before the concert & bought tons of stuff. He was like, they are super nice & cool people. That had me smiling pretty major.

On that same day, I was walking by the water & their were these people handing out stickers for us being "energy smart" and walking. Anywho the guy giving out the stickers saw my shirt & we chatted a bit about their awesomeness.

I found out my Economics teacher likes them & has seen them five times! We discussed their changes through the years, and he complained that they've become too modern rock & soft. Still a great conversation though, considering he was a fan at least. My class was sort of rolling their eyes the whole time because they didn't really understand all the Green Day lingo.

yeah...few people actually!

I think it's great! :D

I took an SAT course over the summer , and I wore a GD shirt just before I was going to the Philly show on 7/21. My teacher was like are you going to see them? And I said yes and he was like "I'm so jealous! I LOVE their stuff. Their newest CD was just phenomenal." I agreed with him and he went "But my favorite album was Warning. That album never got the attention it deserved," and my face just lit up. I feel the exact same way about Warning!

I met some girl at an arcade, we were both wearing green day shirts and started talking and she seemed alright, and we exchanged myspaces/facebooks whatever, and turns out shes just one of those fans that are like "OmGZ, BiLLy JO iS sO FrIgGin HOT!!!!"

and i know how everyone feels with the no green day fans at school.

why does it seem like no one likes green day, yet they have SO many fans? WHERE ARE YOU GUYS!? lol

I concur, I never find anyone! xD I designed a scream to find people: You scream "BILLIE JOE" and if someone responses "MIKE DIRNT" you found a fan (or, usually in my case, the person that you're going to meet)! :D

Oh, I remember other "fan". Actually, I don't know if he is a fan or not. I was in technology class (wich means that I was doing nothing in the last floor of my school) and another class was in music (wich means that they were doing nothing productive in the classroom next to the technology one). My class is known for be the only one with 3 people (me and two friends) who brings guitars and jam, so I was kind of shocked when I heard that someone was playing electric guitar. And I was even more shocked when I recognize that the guy was playing holiday O.o! Me and a friend (who is a fan too) went to see, but she didn't go to the door, just me... And the kid got nervous and couldn't end the solo :( I felt guilty as hell. Never seen him again

My English teacher last year was a big Green Day fan. It totally surprised me, but it was awesome.

He used play Basket Case in class while we worked!

^ Haha no way! My English teacher was a huge Green Day fan! He had a BIAB flag on the ceiling of the classroom, and he was in a band that covered a lot of Green Day songs. My friends held a suprise birthday party for me in his classroom, and he played Green day for a whole hour for me . Also, once I was walking down the street in a Green Day shirt and a guy on a motorbike did a thumbs up as he drove past.

The only Green Day fans I met in my life so far were either people from here or people I met at shows.

I do get excited though when I see people on the street who wear GD shirts. That happened only once so far unfortunately.

Not sure if this really counts, but it's a kinda cute thing that happened to me today.

I went grocery shopping with my mom, and I was pushing the cart and some adorable little kid walked by, saw my shirt and was all like "GREEN DAY!!" as his face lit up and he started trying to point me out to his parents.

Haha it was so cute. :D

I was in the cinema one time about 5 years ago and I kept running out to the bathroom because the film was so scary and I couldn't handle it, really :P I was freaking out in the bathroom with my friend, when this random girl just screamed and starting shouting "GREEN DAY!!" and pointed at my t-shirt. We had a lovely bonding moment and I actually saw her twice more afterwards, both on equally random occasions

Yeah! it was so funny!

Geeze, that's a pretty amazing teacher  Mine wasn't that big a fan, that's rad! I wish mine had a poster in the classroom, that way if i got bored i could have something to stare at

My old math teacher LOVED Green Day. She knew all of their songs and stuff. She was quite jealous that I got to go to one of their shows. :)

One time when I was in the mall I was wearing a GD shirt and this crazy teenie ran up to me and was like "zOMGG I luv ur shirt!1!!!"

I wish that I did. The only music fan that I've ever met randomly was when I was serving on checkouts at work and I served a Parawhore fan.

reading a few of these reminded me of a story..

about a week or 2 after the green day show in kansas, my mom and I were in Hot Topic, just looking around. and Smashing Pumpkins was playing and then the next song just happened to be Longview... haha and we went up to the cash register to check out and the dude that worked there was singing longview while he was checking us out and my mom asked him if he liked green day and he was like OH YEAH! lol and she asked him if he went to the concert last week and he said yes, and then she said remember the girl that went on stage to sing? and he was like yeah? and then she pointed at me and his mouth dropped haha. he was like OMG, You were so awesome!! and so lucky!! I gotta tell my friends I met you. lol.

it was really cool :D

I was at a hotel and I was eating breakfast and I was wearing a Green Day shirt and this lady was like, "nice shirt" so I said thanks, and she was saying how they are her favorite band and stuff so I told her I saw them at MSG and she was saying how she was jealous, and then she was saying how Billie was closer to her age and my dad said yea my wife likes him, so she said "What's not to like" yeaaa it was cool :D
