-Billiejoezee- Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Your right,Green day was the ones who wanted KYE.
TheBullwinkle Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 See I don't think so. I think if the labels had more choice over singles, they'd never have put out KYE.Why not? It's catchy as hell. The record companies probably think that no one listens to the lyrics.
poisonoak Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 is possisble that they can have ejn as the next single and still make a vid of 21cb... like coldplay w/their 1st single being viva la vida, but they put out the vid 4 another song (forgot which)
The Daughter of Rage and Love Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 ^ That's possible. hmm...
Sanity Loan Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 is possisble that they can have ejn as the next single and still make a vid of 21cb... like coldplay w/their 1st single being viva la vida, but they put out the vid 4 another song (forgot which)It's possible but thats not the scenario because on GreenDay.com it said "Green Day will be filming a video for their next single “21st Century Breakdown” with director Marc Webb."
Sarahnade. Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 OK, here's my theory. I'm hypothetically speaking, mind you.I think they have been playing EJN on Letterman and the VMA's so people hear it and aren't totally surprised when they release it. If it comes out, people that saw it on all the places they've played it will be like, "Oh, I've heard this song before." I think playing it around at some big, public places like the VMA's is so a bunch of people can be aware of it before it comes out. Especially the media. If that song came without any form of warning, some people may be weirded out. But the fact that Green Day can say, "We've played this song on live television before and everything ran smoothly," people may take it a little better.I don't know, it's just what I've been thinking.
Greenday_Aussie Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 EJN WILL be a single, everyone cool their jets. They need to release it next year..they'll clean up at the next Grammy's and VMA's that way

Marc is a good Director but he's more of one for like slower more soulful songs than just plain BIG and EPIC. Sam Bayer has to be my favorite director so far. Then again he might have stopped doing music videos, I was surprised that Sam didn't direct any of the videos. Who directed Know Your Enemy? Cause I never heard of that dude before. Mathew Cullen or whatever his name is. I miss Sam, he was the best director he got the job done made everything bigger and better. He can do it all! He did do almost all the videos on American Idiot though.
parinaz Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 oh,and I hope this one to be more better than the previous videos, they never satisfied me.if this one just shoot in the green room,it doesn't make sense cause their appearance is repeated.
Brandon R. Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 lol i don't want EJN as a single...Why not?I think it would be a great choice. It would probably piss a lot of people off but I think that would be part of the fun.
MitchBob Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 EJN will make Green Day 'cool' again. They need it to own the Grammys next year. They'll probably release it next, as playing a song on tv etc, without releasing it is stupid and I haven't seen them do that before.
HoneyDo666 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 ^I think the Grammy time slot closed at the end of August. 21CB (the album) already has Grammy buzz, 21 Guns could win something also.

I fear that they may not release it though if they are asked to censor it.

I wish it'd been the first single off the album.

Sam is great director and I wish he continues doing music videos(fingers crossed for American Eulogy..).
.Militza. Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Oh, God, now I really wanna EJN as a single instead.

Nobody_Likes_You Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 They are already in the GDA Picture Vault

Marie_GD Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I think it's so funny that back in the AI days everybody hated Sam Bayer, now all of a sudden everyone wants him back! wtf?
